On the USA catalog it is part # 30044 for the scuba diver skills slate. You can get the slates for almost every course offered if you wish. You can order it from your instructor portal on the NAUI website or your local rep should be able to hook you up.
I don't have rates at hand to confirm but if my memory serves me somewhat close you can expect to spend $350-$400 per year for divemaster liability insurance. That goes up to @ $700 per year for an instructor. Of course those are independent dive leader rates if you can get a group liability...
I completely agree but thats not a battle I plan on fighting. I will follow industry standard and require annual visual inspections and hydrotest at 5 years unless marked differently on the cylinder, CFR, or special permit exemptions. That is the best CYA I can come up with.
Despite the arguments for or against hydrotesting every five years this exclusion from my insurance company guarantees that we follow the five year hydro test and annual inspection policy. I'm not willing to forfeit my liability insurance coverage for a cheap air fill.
In 2007 SSI changed their website database. Certifications issued prior to that change did not import into the new system. That's probably the reason you don't show up on the verification. If you have ordered replacement cards they are generally pretty quick in getting them out, as stated above...
If they show it shipping to Sport Chalet then Sport Chalet must be or have been a dealer at the time of the shipment.
If you bought it from Sport Chalet have you taken it back to them? What was their response?
Aqua Lung phased out the Seaquest name and replaced it with the Aqua Lung brand...
Hard lesson but a true one. Aqua Lung original products are not low quality by any means so I would question if this is actually an Aqua Lung manufactured bcd or a good knockoff. In 19 years I have never seen a bladder rip out.
If you are looking to just replace the wrist seals with new seals average price is $85, neck seals are the same, or save yourself a lot of money in future seals and install the Si-tech rings on wrists and/or neck. With the Si-Tech rings you can swap out your seals yourself quickly and easily...
The Dimension I3 had the Grip Lock Tank band added after it had been on the market for awhile. Aqua Lung started shipping new orders with them at some point. You probably bought some old stock inventory from a shop that had ordered them in before the Grip Lock tank band was added. Go talk to...
I would bet it's just the battery. Easy to find out for sure, just pick up a 2450 battery and change it.
lithium batteries run almost full power until they are dead so the battery indicators often say battery ok then the screen blanks out unexpectedly. I change mine at least once a year or...
Thanks Jim for the great explanation of the difference between the NAUI Master Diver Course and other agencies recognition programs. The NAUI Master Diver Course is a respected training program by anyone who has been involved in it or completed it.
As Bob said once you complete the NAUI Master...
Should be no problem, only a fool wouldn't accept a customer.
Besides if your going Dive BVI the owner was a PADI Course Director prior to switching over to SS
Look at the bottom side of you trigger. Is there a small recessed flat head screw on your gun? If so try turning it counterclockwise @ 1/8 of a turn at a time and test it. That screw will adjust the trigger release. Just be sure when testing the trigger out of water to place the spear against a...
