I said Cassis was nice, but not the best place for diving.
During summer, it is often crowdy and difficult to get your car to the the harbour.
It is also not easy to go to la pointe rouge in the south of Marseille which is very close from the best spots, the parking is often full up. It's much...
Hi Rob
Marseille is quite a big city, about 1 million people leaving there, driving is not allways easy. So, it would be better to say where you will stay in the city.
What you have to know is that the bay is a windy area, when the north wind blows it becomes very difficult to dive there and...
Don't worry, they've got a lift and it works. :)
Enjoy, Scapa is fantastic.

Maybe you allready have found your dive op or maybe you changed your mind.
I only know one dive op in Stromness that is the diving cellar.
They provide acommodation.
They rent gears.
We choosed our...

After having taken some advice on Diveoz I went diving Flinders Pier. A very easy dive, 8 m max on High tide and I've seen about 10 sea dragons + a seal.
I hired the gears in Melbourne and did it alone, the Sea Dragons were at the end of the pier, much more by the pier than under the pier.
I've...
Don't miss the grey nurse sharks near Brisbane, rainbow beach is close up north : Wolfrock is a great dive. Also you could head south to South West Rocks, the australian use to say that's the best place to dive with them.
I had a fantastic dive with seals in cristal clear watter at Montague...
Yes, I dived aT Flinders Pier to see seadragons and a seal came to see me.
Another very good place in NSW is Montague island : check the link just bellow
My 2 cts : you should'nt go diving the GBR , go South dive South West Rocks to see the Grey Nurse Sharks and also Montague Island ( Narooma) if you want to dive with seals.
Of course you should also try do surch for leafy and weedy sea dragons : Rapid Bay for example or near Melbourne.
This island was on Yasi's way. I guess that the damages could have been important.
My bad idea was Orpheus island but it's quite expensive and I'm not sure that it's a baby friendly place.
What about an exclusive scuba diving boat with about 20 divers every day in such a premium tourist destination ?
Look, I'll go to Cairns next August and I won't go diving on the GBR just because I know we won't go at the best places because of the snorkelers, maybe is it the same for bashaw77...
So why is it possible to do it from Townsvile to the Yongala ? It's about the same distance isn't it ?
I've been told they usually were less than 20 divers on the boat.
Yes Thanks a lot for this report.
I've got a strobe and a WAL that might help.
Also I hope we will have a better viz.
I'll train my newbie here in the Channel sea, then she will be ready. :)
Up
:)
No one to tell me about the winter diving condition at Wolfrock ?
I'll be there with a newbie, she will have to dive with a divemaster.
I would like to know if there is usually a bad viz or strong current in August.
I've been told that it's mostly colder of course but also clearer and...
