Do I use Filters or my GoPro or do I use Protune...?

Use a filter. If you are brand new to this and don't want a lot of fuss, use a red filter on a sunny day. Try to hold it as steady as you can, and you'll be happy.

    Underwater video music whine

OK here's my 2cents, voice over and original music. I'm old enough to remember Rod Serling doing the voice overs for Jacque Cousteau stuff, now that's a voice over! Northern Vancouver Island - YouTube

That's good to know about the gargoyles, I always dismissed it as an urban myth.

    Go Pro 3 Filters ?

I made a home made magenta filter from a filter for a different housing, and I'm pleased with the results. Here's a video I made with this setup. You need lights if you don't have them. I use Chinese dive lights with home made diffusers (translucent plastic over the lens). The Point Grey - YouTube

Yeah, that's my voice. Glad you liked it. My camera is a Panasonic TM-700 with a custom modified housing, and the lights are 2 Chinese P7 LED flashights with home made plastic diffusers.

    Wasp - Brightest Underwater Light?

Beautiful video. You have a great eye for lighting, it's not just about lumens, it's lighting a scene from different angles (and having a lightman who does that).

BIG, older wooden shipwrecks around Vancouver Island?

The ironic fact is that above water, salt preserves wooden ships, and fresh water encourages rot, evidenced by all the old wooden fishing boats in BC still floating, but once underwater, fresh water preserves wood, but teredo worms in the ocean will reduce a wooden hull to nothing fairly quickly...

Your camera is just your paint brush, you are the artist.

Wreck of the "Ranger" video - Port Townsend

Loved the video. Not bad color rendering for a gopro. I especially liked your buddy's retro gear, all you need is an old french guy to read your subtitles!

    mitral valve prolapse

Hi Robin, Just a post to share my similar experience. I am 56, have had cancer (Hodgkins lymphoma), and also have recently had a coronary bypass (2011). I am back to diving now, (no restrictions) and wouldn't miss it for the world! I was not given a choice about the surgery, it had to be done...

    Dive video light lumens

I have 2 of these cheap chinese lights. I made my own diffusers out of frosted plastic at the end of a neoprene tube so I can slip them on and off. I have had them almost two years, and have been very happy. The batteries are not a common north american size, but they are also cheap on e-bay...
