Don't bother with the D40x. It won't have the "legs" you want for such a significant purchase. I use a D80 in a Fantasea housing which works well for me and my budget. With the D300 just released you might be able to get a used D200 setup, which a lot of people both use and love for underwater...

Mine does not, unless you modified the zoom ring and attached it to the focus ring. Most focus rings are smaller than the zoom rings too, so it is harder to make attachment for them. Particularly on the 18-55mm Nikkor...

I also would recommend It's A Dive. Customer service was excellent, dive site choice was very good. The 2 tank Speigel Trips are amazing and they seem to be one of the few operators in the keys that do that.

Interesting...What kind of issues? I had not heard about this... I had noticed that the steel latches on the rear of my housing developed some rust, after only a week in Bonaire and proper post dive rinsing. (?) Also, some nice pics in your gallery! Bonaire is great isn't it? :D Gordon
