Two divers in the family, same suit (Bare Arctic 7mm bought in fall 2006): same problem on both. I was actually looking for some solid pads to stick on... any hints?
It seems the same problem you have: starts with a small nick and then just keeps on opening in the knee area. I tried glueing...
According to the information I have, OMS LP-45s should be 23" long - about the same as an Al 80 or a PST 100 - are yours different?
Or did you have to wear them lower because of the manifold being closer to the back of your head?
Deep Sea Suplies Torus wing.
I'm very happy with the kit, will buy from them again. Tobin from DSS is frequently on the board, search his posts - great information and customer service.
Nice! That's close to what I imagined. Glad to see they work for you.
Faber has 476 cu.in. cylinders on their site, that would be 7.8 L x 2640 psi (182 bar) = 1420 L = 50 cuf
Any particular reason one would prefer 45s over 50s or vice versa?
Shore, kayak - no boat. Want to cut down on weight. Baby doubles preferred to stage: more compact, easier to carry on back, same valve configuration as full doubles. I'd consider a small stage as a secondary option.
Double 7 Liter setups (that would be ~ 2 x 55 cf) seem popular enough as shore dive setup in Europe - but apparently impossible to get in North America. These are 5.5" dia tanks, rated to ~ 3,000 psi (220 bar) and doubled with a short isolator manifold (example attached).
They are compact...

Yes, I know. Very cool report on OD.

Thanks for the hints. Will try sometime.
Hey, I've read a rumor about a sub somewhere in Lake Ontario - is that what it actually is
;)
I dove on the assumption that this is outside the TPA boundaries. I may be wrong. There were no signs of any sort posted. But for a definitive answer I yet need to get a map.
Definitely! But one could just lift the heavy stuff off the ledge standing at the bottom. There is enough space below...
Inspired by ScubaSteve001's quest for shore dive opportunities in the GTA (*) I sampled the waters at the end of Leslie Street / Tommy Thompson Park today.
Access from Leslie Street, parking at the Tommy-Thompson park parking (1) or better on Unwin Avenue. From there it's about a 200m (300...

Ontario Diving
If you've never been out on the spit, it's a great place to go - there are two huge bird colonies (seagulls and cormorants) near the end; a great contrast of primal nature scenery with a backdrop of the Toronto skyline. But you do need a bike.
That...
