8 die in Cancun bar from an 'attack'

The bar where this happened is far out in downtown Cancun, region 239, Leona Vicaro. Its at least 30min drive from the Hotel zone and tourist areas. I know this does not excuse these horrific attacks but tourism is still as safe as ever in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. We all wish this would end...

Do you wear a wetsuit in the Cancun area?

Hi Kryssa, November water temp is around 78/79f. A 3mm full will do the job perfectly, a 3mm shorty would be ok too. I wear a 5mm during the winter months, sometimes I even think about a 7mm!!! Pathetic I know!!

Are the bull sharks around in Playa ??

The last bull sharks we saw were the very end of Feb like Jason, just two showed up actually... The season was cut short mostly because of the big boats pumping sand on the beaches so we´ll have to wait til mid Nov now. I got very lucky last week in Cancun and ran across a 10ft Hammerhead, a...

    Is Cancun dead for diving?

Cancun has great diving for intermediate and even very experienced divers, although most of the reefs are shallow (50-60ft range) the marine wildlife is vastly abundant and huge in variety, more so than Cozumel. Sure there are dive sites and dive ops to avoid or you may well leave with a bad...
