Water temp at depth has been consistently 84 degrees, according to my computer. I dove 7 consecutive days, from Wed. Oct. 25 through Tuesday, October 31.

Currently in Coz for 11 days. Dove yesterday and today. My perception differs from @living4experiences Coral bleaching is evident, but it is not pervasive and there are lots of critters: the "usual suspects" are turning up on each dive!:)

Your eyes were not deceiving you! We saw 2 batfish on Yucab when I was there last month (March). They were not the "red-lipped" variety that I have seen in the Pacific (Cocos and Galapagos). I have not seen "froggies" in Cozumel, but will look for them in future trips.

Hello @Kimela I have stayed @ Casa Mex for the past 15 years. I find the mattresses very comfortable: well supported, neither too soft nor too firm. The cleaning staff is excellent: floors swept/mopped daily. The tiny mini-fridge is located behind a cupboard door in the wall/storage...

Thank you @rick00001967 for sharing this--and thank you also to other posters who have raised the same issue. I was not taught to "dry breathe each reg before turning on the gas" in my scuba training; but will adopt this practice in future dives. Always something to learn on Scubaboard!
