Re: Swimmer's Ear...it is meant an ear infection. In my case, which I got last year was the result of the dirty water that I dove in. It was the worst experience I've ever had... really very painful and the redness spread over the infected ear and spread down a part of my neck like it was on...

You are right... that as soon as the diver goes under water equalize right away. I learned the hard way, got a bad ear pain because I waited too long till I got deeper and had a lot of trouble clearing my ears (due to pressure), then blew as hard and my ears popped, OMG, hurt horribly. A DM...

ha ha... i can understand the wonderment in seeing deaf divers signing. My fiance and I were the only deaf divers in our all hearing diving club and they are thrilled in having us as part of their dive family.

So, it seems there are more Deaf/HoH American divers than Canada. We wish there were more so it would be a lot of fun to dive with them that sign. I'm sure lots of other hearing divers like to sign, too. :)
