Hi Phil.
Nice diving with you and lunch at the last Blue Heron Bridge macro workshop. (July 7th). I just noticed that Olympus posted your Jawfish picture rather prominently on their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/#!/getolympus
They never link back to the source of their photos though...
Great pictures! Shows what the camera can do. What strobe(s) did you use? Housing?
Other than cropping was there any post processing to the images?
I am jealous that you had the opportunity to see so many wonderful creatures.
I had the exact same issue when I used the 9-18mm lens with the Zen dome and found that I needed to close the aperture down to at least F8 to minimize (not eliminate) the fuzzy edges. The 9-18mm lens does not have this issue above water. I think it is the dome.

If you dive in cooler water and want to feel warm, this is what you need.
My wife decided that she is a warm water diver, so this is not getting any use.

My wife really doesn't like cold water diving, so this is not getting any use.

Peter,
1/160th is the fastest shutter sync speed with the E-PL1. To get darker backgrounds, you will need to adjust aperture and crank up the strobes or get closer to the subject.
Realistically the strobe should usually fire in much less than 1/160 sec, but a lot depends on the distance between...
Yes, I looked at it and indeed you can see light between the bolt and the body. It seems like it would take a lot of extra tightening to squeeze the body. I'll be extra aware now of the potential for overtightening.
Is this the adaptor you are using with the s-2000.

I am using the same one, so would be interested in just how tight "too tight" is.
We all believed you of course. I still think what makes a great photo is about 50% photographer (skill & artistic sense) , 25% equipment and 25% location & luck.
I have been tempted to house my T2i.
Great seahorse photo.
