    Blackbeard Storage Question

Thanks for the Tip! I actually had talked myself out of bringing a water bottle "since they provided cups". I actually thought earlier do I really want to use the same cup for everything, but thought apparently not a big deal because everybody says, "they provide cups". Thanks again for the tip.

    Blackbeard Storage Question

Yea, I picked up several of those clamps at Harbor Freight the other day. As far as non-dive items, basically some toiletries, a couple swim suits, a couple t shirts, sweat pants, 1 pair shorts, sleeping shorts, hoodie (I tend to get cold regardless of temp), hat, and a pair of deck shoes or...

    Blackbeard Storage Question

As always Thanks for info...another question. What about wetsuits? Is there a place to hang them? If so, should I bring a hanger? Or, pinned over the rail is how they are stored?

    Blackbeard Storage Question

Thanks for the tips.... Mesh bag? Is there room to hang this on the side of the bunk? I'm not thinking a large mesh like you pack dive gear in, but a smaller one sounds like a good idea. My plan is to unload the dive gear and keep the dive gear suitcase at the dock. My clothes and...

    Blackbeard Storage Question

I think I heard that on the Blackbeard each person is given some storage under the seats. How big is this area? It makes sense that if you place things in that location that you don't want to get wet you should have a dry bag. Hence, wondering how big that area is and could I store things...

    Blackbeard - Questions Backup

I looked through everything I got from them and nothing indicates the specific vessel we will be on. Do you know where to find this? In any event, we may be shipmates....sounds good to me! Yes, we cannot wait as well. Interesting story for us, since this thread has stalled out a little...

    Table Rock Dewey Short Diving???

Hmmmmm....Thanks for the investigation. I really hope that we can dive there again. I always enjoyed diving their over the years. Pretty easy shore diving on TR and hopefully once again will create a lot of dive traffic in the area.

    Table Rock Dewey Short Diving???

I heard through the grapevine that they are again allowing divers to dive at the visitors center at Dewey Short on Table Rock. I do not know if this is true or not and don't know how reliable my source is. Has anybody else heard this and or does anybody know for sure what the status is for...

    what happened to Nagel ?

Email me at nagel1990@charter.net Feb 16th - Bennett? Do you have a couple extra spots? I'll put it on my calendar and possibly SteveC as well. Do you have all 6 spots for that day or are there some open?

    what happened to Nagel ?

Wow, are the starts aligning. SteveC and I were just talking about you a while back wondering if you were still diving. We definitely need to get together sometime. Good to hear from you.

    what happened to Nagel ?

What a shock to see this thread. I'm still here, just kinda got burned out on the dive boards for awhile. Still diving. In fact, just got back from Bonaire a couple weeks ago. We typically spend our time between Norfork Lake in Arkansas and Mermet Springs. Will probably try and get a dive...

    Tipping?

True, no matter how you slice it, people will complain.... Regarding the $20 Nitrox Fee. I was just in Bonaire last week. We dove with AB Dive and I asked them about the increase in Nitrox fee. They said Dive Friends is the only one doing this, they are not. They actually have changed over...

    Tipping?

It's getting colder outside and the dive season is ending (for us). So, what better thing to do but let's poke the bear a little and talk about tipping. Don't get me wrong I very much appreciate dive masters, boat captains, boat crews, etc. I think they typically go far above and beyond to...

    Blackbeard - Questions Backup

Oh..one more... Electrical outlets. I would need to charge camera batteries. Is there an electrical outlet in the bunks, near the bunks? Is this community use? I do have a small travel power strip would I be able to use that?

    Blackbeard - Questions Backup

Again, thanks for all the info. Our trip is 5 months away and we can't wait. (Actually, just got back from Bonaire and ready for our next adventure). The only outstanding question I have at this point is about the backup gear. I have a spare computer and plan on bringing it, but what if my...

    Blackbeard - Questions Backup

Thanks, that makes sense. Another question: Tipping on Blackbeard? What is a proper tip amount? I know it is personal and gauged by how helpful the crew is/was, but I'm sure there is "standard" amount.... Typically, when we do boat dives with guides we tip $5-$10 per dive....is that a good...

    Blackbeard - Questions Backup

We are planning our first liveaboard trip next May with Blackbeard. We have been told don't over pack. We are thinking about backup equipment. Of course, we will bring our light and backup light, but should we be prepared for other issues as well? Do they have the ability to fix equipment or...

    St. Maarten Information Needed.

Hmmmm. We are going to St. Maarten really only because we got a "deal" with our Time Share; so, cannot really change that. If however, there's an option to take a skip over to Saba for a day trip or something like that we might think about that. Thanks for the Thought
