    Owning a Dive Shop

So you want to run a shop and a dive operation? I don't think $30k will by any kind of decent dive boat much less a shop and all that goes with it.

    Considering SCUBA certification

The agency that you get your open water from doesn't matter as much as the instructor. Find a good instructor. I'm PADI, but I am almost certain SSI is internationally recognized. First purchased equipment would be quality mask, fins, a snorkel, and probably booties too. After you are...

    LDS pricing

Why can scubatoys be an authorized dealer, have a nice brick and mortar dive shop, and still give great prices, while my LDS has higher prices and complains when people go to scubatoys and buy gear? It's not like I'm going to the Walmart of the diving industry instead of a small mom and pop...

    operating a Aladin Prime

You don't set the depth you dive too. It calculates it as you descend/ascend. If you set a depth pre-dive, It would be no better than using tables.

Ear care after diving the springs?

Is it better to use 90% alchohol instead of 70% in the ear rinse? I've been using it for awhile but just got to thinking that maybe the stronger stuff would work better.

    where to mount a whistle?

I have mine ziptied to the top left D-ring on my Brigade. At first I just used the split ring to attach it but I added the zip tie to give my some more slack. I guess a little bit of cave line or something would be a even better option.

Building a pool - Anything special for scuba?

Look at this site: http://www.poolplaza.com/pool-school/salt_pools.shtml It seems like a saltwater pool actually uses a salt to chlorine generator (so no dumping in bags of salt). Nemo33 http://www.nemo33.com/index_en/gallery.html It's in Belgium
