Christi, thanks for the input! If I stay over by Cancun or Playa I wouldnt make the trek over to Coz, would just hang out over there until the scubainvasion starts and then move over to Hotel Coz. I didnt know for sure where Melia was located so good to know its not an option based on distance...

Going to be in Coz next June with scubaboard invasion. I can trade my timeshare and add the week before to make it a two week trip. Resorts showing availability are El Cid- 2 bedroom all inclusive is not mandatory MVC Melia 1 bedroom also not A1 mandatory currently but may be in 2015...

Excellent post!! I will add that when going thru security at the airport, they have separate lines for women and men, I kept forgetting this and couldnt figure out why the kept loudly pointing that out to me,lol. Of course, I was just looking to get in the shortest line and didn't pay...

Anyone have any experience with dive ops in either of these locations? Hemisphere-Sub is who I have contacted in Raiatea, they want a wire transfer for the deposit, is that normal? I think for the rest of FP we are all set. thanks for any info

Stayed at giddys last March and dove with them Snorkeled with whalesharks one day and dove two days Food was good at giddys but slow service. Diving ok not great dive op was good though

High school was 45yrs ago, I imagine there are improved sleep aids now.it is a long flight then more travel in country and your not in kansas anymore!
