Mr. Tibbetts, who started it all, felt like the food at the Brac resort was better. I've been to both several times and I'm not sure I could say one way or the other. Both have excellent food. I'm headed back to the Brac in September.
Good grief man, do you even remember how to get home? That's a lot of traveling. Good for you. I've been to Brazil, Panama, and Columbia fishing as well as dive drips to the Sea of Cortez in the past year. Had several dive trips moved from last year to this year. I hope to get them in this time...
I found this thread yesterday. I’m starting to wonder if the title needs to be changed to 2022. I have a trip in 2022 and I’m being told that trip is 50-50.
I’ve been to the Socorro’s twice. Both trips in early November. Ideal conditions and warm water so I didn’t even need a wetsuit. Great visibility that time of year. I was on the Rocio Del Mar both trips. The great thing about going early November is we were the only boat there on the first trip...
I've used Bigblue lights for several years now as does many of my dive buddies. So far not a single one of us has ever had one to fail. Do some of them fail? Of course. There isn't a dive light maker out there that hasn't had a failure with one of their lights. I can just speak from my own...
Interesting. Since the diving population is getting older, they may be missing out on a lot of park fees. I have the RDM chartered for November of 2023 and I suspect at least half of the folks are or will be over 60.
Something to add to the discussion.
On January 29th I tested positive for COVID. I had very mild symptoms. Honestly, I have had head colds much worse. The CDC says you should not test again for 90 days. The US is allowing you to return by using what is called, "documentation of recovery". So...
We have a group trip in July to the Cayman Brac Beach Resort. While I am cautiously optimistic that we will be able to take that trip, I did reach out to them in case we can’t. If not, they will allow us to rebook up to two years under the same terms that included some perks from booking at...
The benefits can be many depending on your situation. If you are an individual, the benefits might not be there. I book groups So the benefits are several.
1. My agent is able to hold an entire liveaboard for me from $1500 to $2500. If I were to approach that liveaboard directly and tell them I...
Thanks for the update. Perhaps they have heard the outcry and are acting on it. If they are offering a full credit with no expiration date and all you have to pay is the difference in price from the old price to the new, that seems fair to me. Assuming they have eliminated the “rebooking fee.”
