Looking for a dive buddy for Sunday to do a couple of dives in Carmel. Visibility has been great this past two weeks and I have a good feeling it will be this Sunday too. PM me if interested.
Sunday N wind around 6 kt. Partly sunny. Mixed swell...W 3 to 5 ft and SSW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.
Is the water temperature at LaJolla beach about the same as Catalina Island? Is Monday really crowded and what is the parking situation like, and is there a dive shop close by.
Looking for buddy for Monday to do 2 dives at either Lobos, Monastery or Butterfly House (Conditions permitting)

It was extremely flat, vis had to be more than 50', turqoise in some areas, 47degrees cold, lots of lings and rockfish. One of the lings chased a torpedo ray for a couple of seconds, which was a pleasant surprise to see.
Is this a "quit your job and go diving" conditions? If the vis is good Sunday I really want to dive Monday
Sunday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming W 5 to 7 kt in the morning. Patchy fog before 11am. Mixed swell...WNW 2 to 3 ft and W 2 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Just saw a video from a dive buddy taken at Monastery North. The kelp was stationary and seemed like it would be possible to stand on the wash rock that usually gets pounded 99% of the time. Vis was reported 50'
