Thanks for the info guys.
Great to know, makes me feel a little less bad.
the black gunk seemed like it got sucked through the cracks around buttons, into the battery chamber. Not really sure though.
^^ what he said.
Did you do any post WB adjustment? I really like the 4th one.
by the way, i noticed you're in pompano.. was this dive out of pompano? i did a dive last weekend out of pompano... we did the united caribbean and a reef, i forget which one.
I'm actually considering a g9 rig...
ok so i replaced the battery on my suunto after not using it for like a year. I lubbed the seal up with silicon and everything and was careful putting the battery back in.
when i took it under i found 1min into dive it died on me. I opened it up when i got to surface and found a bunch of...
Thanks! I actually sold that camera rig about a year ago. I'm considering the g9 as a replacement. This time i may go with an external flash like you say.
richtpe, were those shot in RAW mode? Also, did you use any post processing (e.g. whitebalance adjustment). The turtle shot is very nice.
Searched the forums, no luck. I'm interested in peoples thoughts/experiences w/ the ds-51. i will be using it mainly for closeup shots of fish rather than large reef shots. I will be using only 1.
thanks
finally!
this should make for a very affordable underwater setup for a lot of people.
$600 for both the camera & canon housing at amazon.
Please post more uw pics!
i have a large frame that i would like to fill with an underwater poster.
does anyone have any good suggestions/sites that have quality underwater posters?
i've looked at art.com a bit, and found this one...
SWEET. i wonder if it fits the ikelite 350d housing. im guessing not since they're making a new one.
ChattaMasterDiver... just a quick google search showing tons of complaints.
how long were you laying on the bottom before those fish started swimming at you? That one looking at you looks like it is coming straight up to your camera to check you out.
nice shots, especially for being sick. thats no fun though :(
no, it isn't. The last guy who was interested hasn't gotten back to me and it has been 4 days. I will hold it for him for another day, and if he doesn't get back to me i'll put it up for bid as there seems to be more than 1 interested at the moment (got a pm from another guy).
also something to...
hmm i wonder if there will be some way to modify the 350d housing to accomodate the 400d. i was at bestbuy today and the two cameras are very similar in size/layout. one thing to note is that with the new 400d, the 350d housing might start selling cheaper secondhand.
i'm going to wait and see...
thx for the advice.
i dont mean to steal the thread but i am also looking to get an xt or xti. I think i will start with a 60mm just because i prefer shooting up close.
one thing i don't understand though is how housing+ports work. What exactly is a port? do i need a seperate port for each...
ah, i knew that looked familiar. did you run into any schools of tarpon? edit: nvm, i see you ran into some.
out of curiousity, what are you doing for whitebalancing?
if only the dslr rigs weren't so damn expensive:P 1300 just for housing... ouch!
ah, thanks. I am considering going dslr soon, that is why i ask. Which lens was the turtle shot with? I was actually just in the caymans... we did sunset house and turtle farm. The cudda shot reminds me of turtle farm. where was that pic taken?
