Thank you for posting this information. I'm at Buddy Dive now. But I've located the less expensive testing site at COVID-19 PCR Testing on Bonaire - Bon Bida Bonaire That testing site is one of the three that are recommended by Tourism Bonaire.

Where was your testing site on Bonaire? How do you make an appointment? My buddy and I are going to need 3 tests: one PCR within 48 hours of departure for Bonaire; another PCR 5 days after we arrive and another test before leaving. (We're staying 3 weeks).

My buddy and I are flying to Bonaire on Friday, August 28. I am angry that we have to waste one day of our dive trip getting a COVID test. But it isn't the Bonaire people or their government I'm angry with.

My speculation is that Bonaire is about to announce an extension to its travel restrictions through the end of August, but possibly until mid September. They've been announcing policies one month at a time.

I can't imagine that diving in itself would be a COVID-19 risk, but flying, staying in a resort, eating in a restaurant, sailing on a dive boat, interacting with dive masters and other divers, renting gear, buying air, etc. might be. So where is it safe to dive and when? Are we going to have to...

Planning a trip to Isla Mujeres to snorkel with the whale sharks. I see that the snorkeling boats go out quite early. Can you recommend a place to stay that has an on-site whale shark snorkeling boat? Or a hotel/condo/timeshare/bnb that's convenient to a reliable snorkeling operator's boat dock?

I'm just the opposite. As I've become older (than you), I've all but given up boat dives. I no longer want to put up with rigid schedules and crowded dive sites. My buddy and I go to Bonaire every year to shore dive.
