Considering Yanbu now that there are direct flights from Dubai to Yanbu. Still bothers me that weekday diving means the same shore dive for 4 days in a row.. 12 dives at the same spot..

You are unlikely to need to back up very often. Not as much as you think. Although, yes you should possess the skills to reverse when needed.
