Tar was never really a problem for me unless I dove Coal Oil Point. WD-40 works? I usually use baby oil - I should try that sometime. How'd you end up in Florida if I can ask?

I'm 5'4"-5'5" (depending on how i feel, HAHA), and I use an Akona full 7mm suit. Works for me rather nicely, except the arms are just a 'tad' bit long, but it's no big deal once it gets wet. See if you can find one and try it on.

You can pole spear while diving.

Haha, that's why I try to bring my camera on every dive, just in case.
