I wear scleral RGP lenses for a different reason. I have fluctuating astigmatism and the lenses stabilize it. I have no problem diving. You have a different diagnosis so if you are looking for a second opinion, contact DAN for an ophthalmologist who understands dive medicine. It not about any...
It took 14 pounds to get this pumpkin underwater. A group of us carved under water and pumpkins just get soggy. The fish weren’t interested in sampling the pumpkin guts.
I’ve always used SeaCure mouthpiece. They are easily customized for your mouth. Buy one specific to your regulator. Follow the directions carefully by trimming if needed, dip it in boiling water, shake it and bite down as directed. They last a long time and are comfortable. You can remold them...
I have lymphedema in my arm from breast cancer treatment. I wear a compression sleeve on land but not when wearing my wetsuit. There’s no benefit or need for support while diving. Also no swelling when I return to land.
I just finished reading through this post which was initiated in 2020. You did state in your initial post that "suddenly it was if I momentarily blacked out. Uncertain as to what happened I repeated my actions and the same loss consciousness occurred."
So my question for you is, did you see...
My ears have been ringing for over 40 years. It doesn't affect my diving, in fact, I don't hear it underwater. I progressed to hearing loss for whatever reason (probably rock concerts and Harley Davidsons over the years) and wear hearing aids which don't really help. There are hearing devices...
Thanks for this, it’s very helpful. I lived in the Caribbean for years before moving back to the states a few years ago. I still get cold easily. I’ve got a 1mm and vest and will take the 3mm as well.
I’m a wimp too. We have a limited luggage allowance because we will be taking a small plane. I’m trying to put everything in a smaller checked bag b
Thanks . Your information is very helpful.
I may be the first person to do this so I have no way of knowing. I did talk to someone who had used it on shirts and a canvas bag and she said they held up nicely. Not a great comparison but painting it myself cost about $12 which is a whole lot better than buying a new one for $90.
My surface marker/lift bag had faded from years of ocean dives and I doubted I could be seen if I needed to use it. It’s still good so I found the best spray paint and restored the color. It’s fabric spray made by Tulip. It didn’t get stiff or rub off when it was wet. Saved me a lot of money.
I'm going to Belize November 6-13. I know the surface temp is in the 80's, but I am wondering what exposure suits you wore when you dove to stay warm at depth. What we can take is limited since we will travel on a small plane to get to our resort. I would love to get by with my 1 mm pants and...
