Question How Do They Choose and Prepare Ships for Wreck Dive Sites?

The Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia, has sunk a number of ships, off the west coast of Canada, for the purpose of diving. Holes are cut in the hull, to facilitate penetration and egress of the wreck, in addition to sanitizing it. All the wiring is removed, anything that could...

To goodman or not to goodman, that is the question

Fair enough ... I saw the thread "Goodman or not to Goodman" and came to have a look .... did not look that it was in the Cave Diving forum. My bad. (I have a hard enough time in a dry cave)

To goodman or not to goodman, that is the question

Why would you need to take off a light, to check an SPG ??? I like the fact that I do not have to hold onto my light, and at the same time, I can do, pretty much whatever I want to, with my hand, and still have my light available at an instant.

    February Diving in Vancouver Island

4C ... was that on a deep tech dive? I have not done as many Straight of Georgia dives as you Chris, the inlet or 10 Mile to Sooke is where I have been, so 6-7C has been my coldest. By the way, it's been too long since we have gone diving.

Steel tank as pony bottle for Self Reliant Diver.

Hi .... ali is what you need. The steel tanks, yes have better buoyancy characteristics, however, if you are switching to your pony, you are on your way up anyway and buoyancy is not an issue. My 1st pony, was a 13cu Ali Catalina tank, which was great for shallow, and being only OW at the...

    Info Are Pony Bottles Dangerous?

A pony bottle, is not intended to solve skills problems. They can however, do that by the simply being available when you need it; in that case, usually due to diver error. A pony bottle, is NEVER included in one's dive planning. A rec diver, does not always have to dive with a buddy; it's...
