    Robert Couvillon (Couv)

Robert would sell me Scubapro spg’s and parts and then give me helpful tips on rebuilding Scubapro regulators. I miss our conversations.

    Question Sherwood SRB3200 Piston

Hi axxel57. That would be great if the pistons are still available. Is there a source where they can be purchased?

    Question Sherwood SRB3200 Piston

Aloha everyone, I have a Sherwood SRB3200 with the replacement piston. By replacement, i mean that tbe piston seat is peened into the end and when it wears out, the entire piston is replaced with a new one. The regulator currently works fine and locks up as it should. However, should the...

    Any opinions on Poseidon?

Thanks tbone1004. Yes, very early Poseidon. I’m guessing G1/8 female to 3/8 UNF male would work.

Any suggestions on where to get adapters for early Poseidon spg’s?

Aqualung Calypso IV Does the 1st and 2nd stage match?

I might be mistaken, but I think USD made the change after the recall. The Calypso VI numbers on the first stage start from serial number one while the Calypso IV numbers ended around 700,000 - 800,000. After the recall, all the Calypso VI’s had the hp seat bushings installed in them, thus the...

    DA Aquamaster Rebuild

Well, I got the DAAM back together. Again, I want to stress the need for having the proper tools, they make things much more enjoyable. Also, take the time to clean everything well. It’s worth the extra effort and will pay dividends when it comes time to put everything back together. Everything...

    DA Aquamaster Rebuild

Aloha rhwestfall. I’ll be doing a mainly stock rebuild, but will change the diaphragm, wagon wheels/exhaust valves, hoses and mouthpiece with new silicone ones. I’ll also replace original seat and retainer with an upgraded one from VDH.

    DA Aquamaster Rebuild

Finally getting around to servicing my DAAM. I got it on EBay for a decent price and it looked to be in okay shape. So far, I’ve dissembled it and will be giving it a vinegar and water bath. No real surprises so far. Removing the clips was a PITA, so I’ll be replacing them with a retaining...

Conshelf XIV 1st stage retaining ring

I just completed servicing two AL Titans this week and can attest that Herman’s tool made the HP side assembly so nice and easy. I’ve done it without the tool on Conshelf’s in the past and am still looking for the springs. 🤬

Any interest in this old reg? Sportsways Waterlung

White Stag 4000. It’s a Mk3/108 in disguise. Internally, same spring and piston as the Mk3. Seat and o-rings all the same. Old style 108 diaphragm, interchanges with the WS 4000. The WS yoke screw looks very similar to the Sportsways yoke screw from the OP’s picture.

Any interest in this old reg? Sportsways Waterlung

Scubapro Mk3 with early yoke. Newly rebuilt. It will be coupled with a period correct 108 and Sportsways Sea-Vue gauge.

Any interest in this old reg? Sportsways Waterlung

Looks more like an early Scubapro MK3/108 with a Sportsways yoke screw put on it than any Sportsways regulator I’ve ever seen.

    Sportsways Sea-Vue Gauge

Thanks Scuba Lawyer, you’ve been extremely helpful. In fact, you have inspired me to snatch up some more of these gauges to restore and use on my vintage gear. I found some really cheap gauges on eBay and proceeded to take them apart, clean them up, install new o-rings and recalibrate them.

    109 Restored

The 109 is complete; new lever, new duro poppet, new orifice, new rubber diaphragm cover, new exhaust valve and new mouthpiece. Now, the only thing left to do is adjusting the cracking pressure and water testing. Once it’s done, it will be connected up to my MK5 as a safe second and ready to hit...

    109 Restored

Hi whaylonsmither - no, the holes are in the bottom corner of the barreI and damage is hard to see. It doesn’t seem to take much to hang up the lever. I only saw the problem areas by using a jewelers loupe and a flashlight. Getting into the corners is not easy either as there is little room to...

    109 Restored

Aloha everyone, I was given a Scubapro 109 second stage that was headed for the trash heap. Basically, the adjusting lever would stick in the up or down position. No springing back when pressed down. Try as I might, I could not get the lever to function properly. I tried various different...

    Sportsways Sea-Vue Gauge

I recently purchased a 60’s USD Calypso regulator with a Sportsways Sea-Vue spg. I successfully rebuilt the regulator, but the spg is not functioning due to a missing over pressure blow out plug. While I seriously doubt I’d ever use this gauge in the water, I’d like to get it functional again as...
