DIR- Generic Petite lady diver on a long hose

My wife is 5'2" and dives a regular long hose without issue. There's no problem with hose management because, as others have said, the slack is tucked away anyway.

    Fitness and diving

Bodyweight exercises will not give you a significant strength stimulus for a long time (unless you're able to do advanced calisthenics). Incremental loading = barbell is required for that. Air squats and the like are cardio, not strength exercises. However, bodyweight training is better than no...

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Thanks for this suggestion! I've been reading your Frogman First Impressions thread and that suit looks really good. The Tech would also be within my budget.

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Thanks again for your help, ginti, jale and RainPilot No, not at all. I subscribe to the concept of the thinking diver  In addition to the points I mentioned above I also figured that neoprene drysuits may accomodate a smaller range of temperatures, and that they offer less flexibility...

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Thanks all for your input so far. The Seaskin is becoming more and more appealing, its value proposition just seems unbeatable. I was secretly focused on the Avatar suit due it essentially being a Santi, but it seems like I'd be getting at least the same quality and more customizability for 30%...

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Thanks for your recommendation! I'd definitely want to check out Sicily. So far, I haven't dived in Italy at all. Other than Sicily, spots like Elba, Sardinia, Portofino and Amalfi all seem interesting. I have not been able to find any info regarding the weight of the Seaskin Nova, perhaps one...

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback so far, definitely some food for thought! Feel free to keep the suggestions coming :eyebrow: I'm honestly not too sure about dry glove capabilities, I don't see myself in very cold waters anytime soon and could do T1 in SEA, since I'm half-based there...

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Hmm yes you may be right, and silicone may be more UV resistant. I was under the impression that neoprene is more durable and comfortable, but I have not been able to compare the different seals.

Drysuit suggestions for moderate to warm-water diving

Hi all, I’d like to get your views on drysuit choice. I know this is an often-discussed topic on this board and I’ve looked at most of the threads from the last ~10 years. Alas, this hasn’t given me the clarity I was hoping for so here I go. It would be great to draw on this board's awesome...

What is your personal depth that CESA is option #1

I'd never do a CESA when I have other options, but I don't dive solo.

    DAN or Aquamed???

Hi LauraPro, one issue to consider with DAN is that their policy stipulates an exclusion for claims "caused or arising from [...] Epidemic and pandemic diseases of any kind." (see Section 4.1.e(v) of their Swiss policy). This can lead to serious complications when applying for coverage: For...
