    Nauseated during dive

No nausea after I got out, but the salt water definitely didn't help. It was a long walk in full gear from our setup spot to the water, and that was a stressor along with the swells once we started walking out. One thing's for sure, no split pea soup prior to diving!

    Nauseated during dive

Definitely packing the non-drowsy Dramamine! Why keep the reg in? I'd think it would be good to keep the reg free of any debris.

    Nauseated during dive

I did two shore dives for certification, and got really nauseous under water. Like, almost-puking-into-my-regulator nauseous. I think it was either the salt water I swallowed, the back and forth current, or both. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do? Fortunately, our final two...

    Obnoxious dive flag magnet

My brother-in-law is in need of the most obnoxious, ugliest, all-around worst dive car magnet. Can anyone suggest something just hideous? Links, please!

What is the fundamental reason that prevents scuba diving from becoming popular?

Expense, whether perceived or actual, is what kept me from starting until just now. I waited almost 30 years to learn because I was afraid of the cost. While it's still expensive, it's not as bad as I perceived it to be. It helps, though, that my income allows me the ability to buy a "super...

Question re: water in my mask

I do have an issue with getting a new mask, as I had prescription lenses put into the mask.

Question re: water in my mask

I need to learn their secret. I only shave once every one to two weeks.

Question re: water in my mask

I thought so. The pros at my local dive shop signed off on it, and it certainly wasn't the most expensive mask so price wasn't a factor. Recommendations on fixing the fit?

Question re: water in my mask

Dang it, this was the first time I used the mask! I'll try it again with a tightened strap.

Question re: water in my mask

My wife and I are doing our open water course at the end of the month, and since she has never used a mask and snorkel before, so we hit the pool so she could get used to it. I took mine as well, so she wouldn't "feel foolish," and while swimming about I noticed I was getting water in the nose...

New to all of this in Denver, CO!

Well, Parker actually, but if I say I’m in Parker they ask, “is that near Denver?” (Yes.) my wife and I are doing our classes at One World in March, certification dives in Catalina in April. Looking forward to learning as much as I can, so expect a lot of stupid questions.
