O ring size for the Garmin Mk2i spool.

I just had the same issue - the thinner ring on the spool failed, and of course a standard spool of which I have probably a dozen, did NOT fit. I emailed Garmin for Warranty replacement - will advise what they say. To sell a spool/restrictor kit for $40 is insane when a spool at DGX costs...

Poseidon - Converting Jetstream Second to Xstream

Hi all - Has anyone tried upconverting a Jetstream to an Xstream second? Yes, need a whole new mouthpiece, and a few parts, but that can be had for less than 100$ to include the shorter tube. The tricky part is the servo valve, which to me seems to be exactly the same as for Jetstream, but...

    Problem with Poseidon x-stream

By the way - is there a way to convert a Jetstream to an Xstream? Me thinks the nut is the same except that additional; hole, a new tube is ~20 bucks, and if one can get the plastic sleeve over the servo valve, it should be the same (yes of course get another mouthpiece tube, but those parts...

Question Fair price for used Poseidon Seven

That actually is not a problem on the island. The 3-day Seven Rec course runs $1000, with $500 boat fee and another $500 for the unit rent which wouldn't be needed once had one (and serviced it of course)

    Problem with Poseidon x-stream

I have noticed that this MK moniker fits the Jetstream better - while not official, in my mind I order them as such: MK1 = 2960 Barrel first stage MK2 = 3960 Flat Top first stage MK3 = Xstream first stage

Question Fair price for used Poseidon Seven

Ok so if $3500 for high end, the small simple REC version is probably less, right? So it seems you guys have saved me from a Buyers Regret - Many thanks! I guess I will just sling sidemounts... :)

Question Fair price for used Poseidon Seven

Again thanks! The listing did not include any sensors, so I figured it would be between $200 to $2400 depending on whether 0, 2, or 2 SS sensors. Somewhere I picked up the thought that the SS Sensor belongs on the third head, and then one would just buy one? To me it sounds like one just gets...

Question Fair price for used Poseidon Seven

Thanks for that - so in other words about 8-9 fills per keg of $199 at DGX, so about 10 bucks per dive or 20$ for a long one... Plus O2 of course, but that seems to run about 30$ for both tanks here... i.e. 20$ per small dive total.

Question Fair price for used Poseidon Seven

Hi all I have a potential lead on a Poseidon Seven with allegedly few dives, and serial number starting with 014-x. It is the REC version with small counterlungs, and just the paddle, but it does have newish 3L Steel tanks, QMR for the tanks, Alu back plate and a wing. Visual condition appears...

    DIY Gear Labels?

I just metal punch my name onto high speed tape (Aluminum tape) and stick that to the tanks. Lasts forever.

    Steel 3500’s “going away??”

I always thought the recall the "real" high pressure steels are 300 bars. By my math that's ~ 4,500 PSI... (and most DIN regulators sport that proud 300 bar rating). But I concede that most shops can't get there with their compressors, struggling often with 3,400.. On that note - has anyone...

Oceanic regulator last used and serviced in 2019

Let's see... (one of) my regulator(s) was built in the 1990's and uses a second from the 1970's, and both seconds are based on a design from the 50's. Yep it's a Poseidon Cyklon, and those seconds are still sold today and are two way interchangeable. So as long as one got parts - good to go.

    Poseidon XStream adjusting springs

Thanks for the quick reply - no - not worried, and no didn't mix up the upper and lower spring. They are actually different in diameter and thickness of the coil. That said, I now realize that 90 degree and 180 degree models had different adjusting screws (albeit with different numbers)...

    Poseidon XStream adjusting springs

Aloha all, I recently overhauled two Xstream first stages. Both are 90 degree models, with one being MK2 and the other Mk3. After assembly and adjusting to the same IP, I noticed that the two adjusting screws (4798) are at different levels. When I took them apart, I noticed that the pressure...

    Cyklon X, really?

@rsingler - you wouldn't happen to have a service manual for Cyklon X? I recall IP at 10.5, but wonder if there are other nuggets.

mk2 x-stream to pair with my cyklons

Aloha Gentlemen Minutes after posting on the other, I am finally finding this thread ... :banghead: Hopefully I may ask a favor of either of you - I have Xstream SM 2.9, but nothing for the Cyklon X - does a newer version of the service manual exist for the Cyklon Xs? Or perhaps a newer Xstream...
