Hartlepool, East Durham and Stockton are the closest to Spennymoor.
I'd probably go along to Hartlepool (as it seems the closest) to check it out aand and have a chat with a few members.
Otherwise try posting to some of the buddy groups on Facebook. I've had some success with those in the...
BSAC has a great system when members act like members of a club and actually work together and help each other progress. Unfortunately not all clubs in BSAC seem to have members, some have individuals who pay a membership and do nothing to promote or taken part in the club.
LOL..... For the last 6 months or so I fill my own cylinders at my BSAC club.... So whilst they there is an ****** filling; they definitely don't have water in them..... :p
:D
Thats an interesting thought. The O'three has a fixed at 4 points cover, whereas the ND has a flap. Its possible the flap was folded up and thus not covering the valve. Will consider that next time I use it to check.
Maybe, but it feels like a squirt of water on inflation. Around the neck and such the suit was completely dry as was my undersuit.
Next time I use the suit I'll try and narrow down the cause some more and will chck to make sure the valve is tight etc.
I may also steal my daughters dry suit...
It happens every inflation, not that I inflate a lot once under water
Hose not disconected in between, so it shouldn't be getting water in the connector. I use the same hose with my O'Three dry suit and don't have the issue.
It feels like getting a little sqirt from a kids water pistol...
Hi
I have a Northern Diver dry suit with V-Tech dump and inflation valve. The inflation value has a standard fitting.
On inflation I can feel a small quirt of water coming in. Its nothing major and I can live with it especially in the summer; but was wondering what the cause may be...
Hi
The transmitter is actually on my daughters setup, and I have noticed a couple of times that when she's purged the regs for taking off the cylinder, detaching the 1st stage, still has a very small amount of pressure in it. However they wouldn't be repressurised with 10 to 12 seconds. I...
Thanks for the reply. There is a gauge on the reg set as well, so it it loses connection mid dive its more an annoyance that a major issue. Just nice to have the pressure recorded for the dive logs.
Nick.
Hi
I have a Vyper with air integration. The transmitter seems to change its id frequently meaning that the vyper needs to be repaired with the transmitter. Is this normal? It seems to be every time the transmitter goes to sleep/turns off, when it is woken up it has a new id.
I changed...
Hi
Just sharing my design for a OrcaTorch D630 GoPro mount.
OrcaTorch D630 Camera Mount by nickorossa
Printed in PTEG, it held up great at the weekend when I finally got to test it out.
Nick.
Last year I designed some brackets for hanging up various bits of kit for washing down. For some reson thingiverse didn't render the individual STL's. Printed in ABS.
Scuba Diving Kit Wall Brackets by nickorossa
I also designed some weight retaining clips too. I printed in ABS, and haven't...
Did you manage to work this out?
I'm speculating, but when you added your wife as a diver, you would have set a username/password. I think you need to login to dive organiser under that account for the sync to assign the dives to it.
I use a quad air, and will probably get my daughter one in...
Hi
I can't answer your question on the wrecks, but regarding the UK scuba diving forums, I also have issues with them being very slow and some pages generating errors.
Maybe drop an email to the 2 boat companies that use Swanage Pier to see what they say about the wreck popularity.
Nick.
Never heard of a pipe fish, but after googling it, I think you're probably right with its head on the left side, that looks like it maybe its snout that can be seen too.
Seems more likely than a sea snake. Either way its a cool find.
Thanks.
Nick.
Hi
The only footage I've got is whats shown above. Didn't see it move, but we didn't hang around it long.
I guess it could be a sea cucumber. I'm pretty new to all this....
Heck, it could be a fake rubber snake for all I know that someone put there for a laugh or dropped off the...
On a recent dive in the UK, we came across what looks like a sea snake. I didn't think we got them in the UK as its generally too cold
ScubaDiving 20210811 Sea Snake.mp4
Anyone recognise it more accurately?
Location : Swanage Pier, Dorset, UK
Depth : abt 4m to bottom
Temperature: 19 degrees.
At $40 for one connector and a small legth of wire......
I think I'll just change the connectors to something more easily available and cost efective.
Thanks.
Nick.
