    Mares regulator, keep or exchange...

The first three are around 70-80us, while Abyss is 160us. It also has a yellow cord, cant switch that one I guess. I thought octopus should be reliable and not to high end, since you wont be using it too much. If I intend to use it only as octo, is there point in paying twice the price?

I only have options of MV, Rover, Proton (plastic). They do have Abyss Octopus, but its expensive. Is Rover good enough for Octopus? I have a dive computer, that's why I thought Mission 1. I only need pressure gauge, as I monitor the depth with computer.

Thank you, Zef, They are actually willing to give me a bit of a discount, so it'll be a bit cheaper. I am still getting used to the idea of owning a regulator, so I think, I'll keep one for now) I was wondering what does X mean in Abyss 22X (you can see it in the picture of 1st stage). Is it...

A little update) I went to the store today, wanted to check out Abyss 22 in person. It turns out they had an outdated picture, the model that the store has in stock is actually the new version. It looked and felt awesome, I can understand why it was a top choice. The second stage is not heavy...

    Mares regulator, keep or exchange...

Hi, everyone! Need an advice on a Mares Regulator, that I got as a present. I dive mostly in warm waters as a recreational diver (about 40-60 divers a year). I only dive when travelling, so weight/size and easy servicing are important. I got Mares Proton 12 Metal-INT (both 1st and 2nd stage)...
