Thank You All Who've Helped Us!

Here's the fun house not so mirror version, from So-Easy-It's-Hardly-Diving-Maui: It was a day off for me; the diving conditions sucked; I found Lynne's thread after 7pm Mon; you could only dive Tue day; my error in judgement was saying yes. I was not "working" as your dive guide; we were SB...

Thank You All Who've Helped Us!

http://www.nwdiveclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17605 So a friend recently shot me a link to a Northwest Dive Club forum discussion; you know what they say about good deeds and punishment... Amazing how a couple years seems to make things seem so different. :dontknow: So, I will answer the...

    Learned Wrong...

So I'm wondering about relating this post to the OP (quoted above). With regards to air consumption and OOA incidents, is there something "most" divers are being taught that is wrong; that is causing OOA incidents?

How do experienced divers define "What is Advanced Diving?"

Are you sure you posted this in the right thread? I'm pretty sure you did not read this thread. Often the topic of a thread is fully explained in the original post (OP); sometimes threads evolve, but not usually without following the conversation....

Thal, do you have any other Fenzy pictures?

What makes someone an "Advanced Scuba Diver"?

So, you are claiming to know "most other's" definitions? That is often what causes "much debate." I fairly regularly dive unknown sites solo the first time. Sometimes, there is other divers "info" to work with, but not always. For three years I worked the Wailea resort dive gigs, with DPV's...

    One dead in Oahu accident

DandyDon; give it a rest. Pretty much nobody "scuba" dives Kahana Bay, Oahu; especially this time of year. Did you go to my above google maps link? 15 feet deep is the deepest part of the channel! All the brown is ankle to knee deep water! By law a free diver in Hawaii must have a dive...

How do experienced divers define "What is Advanced Diving?"

Would have been nice if you had read any of the OP's so you might sound like you have a clue what's going on in this thread. :dontknow:

    One dead in Oahu accident

Oahu, Kahana Valley Road, Hauula, HI - Google Maps Kahana Bay is more of a freedive hunter site; Pretty sure it is really shallow. When you can see google map detail on the bottom of the channel, it is shallow. :dontknow:

How do experienced divers define "What is Advanced Diving?"

I think the problem here is that I thought participants would read the OP. :shakehead: I am still learning how to word thread titles. :D The current title of this thread is a Moderator's attempt to help me with my lacking original title. :dontknow: DivemasterDennis seems to me to be just...

Almost went into deco off Islamorada

I've often wondered about the "data" on injuries from "flying computer deco" diving. I can't say I've ever heard of injured divers who went into computer deco, cleared the indicated stops and successfully finished the dive (from a gas standpoint). I have heard of divers who had "unexpected...
