    Reading Week Trip Ideas?

My friends and I would like to do a road trip down to your area to do some diving. I am just looking for the names of some dive shops that you would recommend as well as hostels/motels. Thanks for the help. Andrew

Can diving class costs be claimed at tax time?

Yup you can, but there is a but. The shop you do your training with has to be a "vocational institute". This is for Canada atleast.

    DIN regulator advice

The Atomics breath slightly better at deapth than the RG-2500. It is a very marginal difference. I actually find that the RG-2500 breaths better in less than 60ffs then the Z2. For the price difference I'd say you are better off with the RG-2500.

You're stuck on a Desert Island.....

Slip Streams, they come out of the same mold as the jets but are much lighter. Wont give you the same power out of your kick but will be a big improvement over just your feet and will be much less tiring than heavy jets.

How do they compensate for boyancy in their dry/wet suits, I have never seen a coast guard swimmer with a weight belt.

    Ice diving...in wetsuits????

The key as was said above is that hot water in the suit pre-dive. A thermos works, but the best solution is a small camping stove (propane wont work, has to be liquid gas). It works wonders, and it's all worth it, very worth it.

Affordable reg for rec diver who wants to keep cold water options open?

I'd say your best bet is a Dive-Rite RG2500, with its Cold Water Kit. Affordable, easy to service, great breather, and i have had atomic regs freez up while mine breathing easy.

Are my ears gonna hurt real bad?

SCUBA diving should be and is for the most part a painless sport. Once you get into your open water class they will explain everything you need to know about equalizing your ears. Best of luck!
