I know... four year old thread. My apologies--while I look for the right place to post this, I figured I'd tack onto the end of this.
I have the exact same issue. The console looks to be sold out everywhere online and e-bay has nothing. I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea of where to...
Thanks diversteve - there are some good links in there. I'm actually hoping for more of just a beach that happens to have good snorkeling off of it, as opposed to a paid snorkeling excursion (boat-arranged or otherwise). I'll be mildly surprised and very thrilled if Liv actually snorkels -...
Going on a cruise next week with my wife, some friends, and all of our kids. I have a six year old daughter who I am trying to get to do some snorkeling while we're on the islands. We have stops on Grand Turks, Tortola, Nassau, and Catalina.
I am hoping to find a nice spot on at least one...
I just took a new job in Tampa near Dale Mabry HW and Northdale. Anyone know of a "tech friendly" dive shop in that area? In a perfect world, I'd like to find a shop with good people working there who are active cave or tech divers who might not be opposed to the occassional LP overfill...
What do you mean by "task oriented" diving? Are you referring to the purpose of the dives? Spearfishing or photography or something like that? Just curious.
Brian
Fair enough, although you're not going to cut down the number of hoses because you're going to have to introduce a more traditional pressure gauge, no?
Valid reason in any case. It's probably been mentioned elsewhere on this thread, but your tech training classes will almost definitely be...
Ignoring the valid option of using tables as a backup to a computer, you should be comfortable, and have enough gas, to dive either computer's profile.
In the scenario you presented earlier, the primary computer uses an algorithm that results in deep stops and the second computer (backup)...
Sorry again - I'm not very saavy with the pics. Where did you post it?
The pic from the first page looks like maybe a wide angle lense. I guess it could have been taken from the steps, but that tree log doesn't look right and I still don't think it's Catfish Hotel.
Thanks.
Brian
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant "from what vantage point at Catfish Hotel was the picture in the first post taken, if the picture indeed is of Catfish Hotel".
Brian
I don't believe that's Catfish Hotel. I could obviously be wrong, but I don't believe that.
It doesn't look like duckweed on top, it looks like larger plants. The water looks too blue. The size of the sink doesn't look right (too small). The opening in the plants at the surface, when...
I also got a ripping deal from divetank on a Bare drysuit. I'd search this forum and maybe www.thedecostop.com also for feedback on divetank if you're thinking about going with them. I'm happy I bought there but I and others feel that they badger you while you're making up your mind and then...
I liked Sandals a lot, with a few caveats:
1. It was pretty expensive. For my wife and I, for five nights (w/air) we paid something like $3,700.00 and that was a deal. Our next Caribbean trip we'll probably book a villa instead. Someone put us on to this site...
While we didn't see much fish life, we did see the biggest southern stingray that I've ever seen. It was actively digging in the sand - the DM said that was where they lay eggs (no idea if that's accurate or not) - and kicking up a huge billowing cloud of sand. We didn't know what was kicking...
