Thanks for the reply. I'm back from the trip and had a great time with Blue O2 We did best of wrecks which included a day of dives at brothers and we dove 2 extra days near marsa alam and dove Elphinstone. Solid diving. Saw longimanus, white tip, dolphins, eagle ray, etc.

the guide ratio ended up totally fine on the LOB. Out of 24 divers, only 4-8 of us would use guides (so the 2 guides were always plenty) The rest did self guided and a group of ~8-10 were a club

it should, they dont look at vaccine info at all besides seeing any vaccine name they recognize and that the date is valid for the dose(s) They take 3-5 sec per person to verify and they dont scan in Hurghada

we did the same. you can get PCR or Antigen tests from Egypt Tourism Authority (near Hurghada airprort) Took 30 min and to go pick it up the next day and PCR was 30$ USD (make sure to be able to pick it up 24h later (next day). No same day test/results for PCR

The LOB co's rely on the airport verification. No extra test needed

I'm guessing you are referring to my thread. There's 2 maybe 3 DMs for 20-26 divers. People are grouped and you can decide to remain with the guided group. I'll be there in 2 weeks, I'll let you know how the experience was if you want to reach out mid October (I'm also a first timer w/ LOB)
