I've always had a console. When I got my computer, I just added it. Most of my dives don't require a computer and for those I just use the console. If I need the computer, I'll keep the redundancy of the console

An update on my situation: After charging to 100%, I left on a trip. Seems I sealed the battery compartment well enough! So exactly 1 week later and including 2 35 min. dives & prob. 10 min. review of the log, I was down to 56%. I charged to 100% again. 1 week later it was down to 70%, and...

formernuke & drrich2: mostly a local diver, though I just got back from a trip to Key Largo for diving. Unfortunately due to high winds(waves), we only got to dive one day (& we were pushing it just for that). I haven't dived a lot of exotic places, but I like the keys the best (so far).
