If I were out of air I wouldn't care where you pulled the regulator from to give me.
To your question: I don't want to give up my primary. I'll GLADLY give you my octopus (yellow so you can see it easily). The other diver is already at risk of drowning. Why give up my definitive (in my...
Yup, both.
Maybe because I'm still young, but still having a blast splashing through puddles, getting muddy, and blasting around in the woods. I'm only 53.
Echoing the Fish House, Pilothouse, Mrs. Mac's. Also Keys Bite (sit down breakfast). Wahoo's on Islamorada I think was good, and definitely the Hogfish in Key West if you go there.
We also train 1 day (8 hrs) per month. Use to be 2 days, but the other team we trained with on those days is defunct. 8hrs "training" isn't 8 total hrs of diving...
I use this: Diving is in a life-hazardous environment. You can die. You need to be comfortable in the water, with your...
For upper keys I'll recommend Quiescence on Key Largo. Quality operation. Good people. If you're committed to diving with them they may let you keep gear there. Give them a call. They run 3 identical boats BUT 6 person max per boat. If you have 6 you'll fill a boat or you could go 4 & 4 if...
Unless I'm missing something, an e-card should be free. Can't cost anymore to generate than sending an e-mail, right?
That said....
I'll take physical cards thankyou. None of mine have made it into the waste chain yet. And my phone is just that and ONLY that. A phone.
I learned when we only had weight belts so that is what I'm comfortable with.
My work BC (which is what I usually use) has integrated weights. These days I keep the minimum weight I need to dive with a drysuit (summer fresh water) on the weight belt & if I need extra weight (saltwater /...
I've always had a console. When I got my computer, I just added it. Most of my dives don't require a computer and for those I just use the console. If I need the computer, I'll keep the redundancy of the console
An update on my situation: After charging to 100%, I left on a trip. Seems I sealed the battery compartment well enough! So exactly 1 week later and including 2 35 min. dives & prob. 10 min. review of the log, I was down to 56%. I charged to 100% again. 1 week later it was down to 70%, and...
I've only had 2 "failures", both were immediately after service. Not sure if we should consider them regulator failures or simply "service" failures:
1st was over 25 years ago and for 1st dive after service, 1st stage was leaking badly after being pressurized. Found to be loose nut securing...
formernuke & drrich2: mostly a local diver, though I just got back from a trip to Key Largo for diving. Unfortunately due to high winds(waves), we only got to dive one day (& we were pushing it just for that). I haven't dived a lot of exotic places, but I like the keys the best (so far).
Ok I think we're making progress. Yes it was showing "charging" and "0%" with no change while connected to the AC charger.
I was able to check & I have firmware 1.62. My serial # is 5010-0192x (I can give the last number if needed).
I switched to the USB charger side & plugged that into a wall...
