    Coolest/Most Unique "Finds" While Diving?

I should add, we weren't taken to that dive site where the boat was sunk. We were at a nearby site and swam in the direction of the wreck until we found it.

    Coolest/Most Unique "Finds" While Diving?

Our dive resort had sunk a boat a few weeks prior, but it hadn't been visited by any divers, and though its location was known, being a part of the first group to find its exact spot was really exciting.

Suggestions for a 12-hour layover at Incheon

I think it would be more fun to take the Airport Express into the center of Seoul and spend time in the city rather than staying out near Incheon.

Question 2023 Summer Meet Up in South Korea?

I had a survey posted, and got almost no response, so I thought I would focus solely on my own development. I think that the guys on this site that post are serious about diving. Unfortunately, the ones who regularly post on this Korea forum numbers about 4.

Drysuit diving - continual issues with air in legs/feet.

How??? Feet too light? - Just in my experience, having all the air at my back instead of wrapped around my sides meant that I stayed relatively horizontal relative to my feet even when moving up or down. With a jacket BCD, having the air wrapped around my sides and front too kind of makes me...

How would someone from the west rate Korea's scuba diving infrastructure?

In general, I would rate it as excellent, with a few caveats: 1. English (or other foreign language) resources are not always easy to come by. This is because the local diving community is really oriented towards Korean divers (as it should be, I think). 2. Rental gear is not as plentiful...

Question How old are you and how long certified? Poll- please take part!

Certified since 2017. Only 30 dives (Covid cancelled a lot of my plans). Working on my drysuit certification.

Drysuit diving - continual issues with air in legs/feet.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Keep it coming! I'm doing the PADI drysuit course. I did use a rental, and I do have relatively skinny legs, so I really like the idea of gaiters as well as thicker garments that can trap the air. I don't mind a tighter fit, so minimal air may be the way to go...

Drysuit diving - continual issues with air in legs/feet.

Hi all, Just completed my first pool dive for the drysuit specialty. We used a wing bcd with it, which was a first for me. I found that if I got horizontal (as we should when at the bottom) the legs and feet would fill with air as I kicked, slowly at first and then more quickly as time went...

Considering buying a dry suit. What should I look for?

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new as a diver, and have done almost all of my diving in relatively warm waters (Thailand, Maldives, Saipan), though I did have a few cold water experiences (Bonne Terre Missouri, Busan South Korea). I want to be able to dive more in South Korea, but the water is...

Which month would you prefer for a summer meet-up?

Hi all, We've had a relatively modest show of interest in a summer get-together, and I am hoping more people will hear about it and want to join. If you are reading this, you can play an important part in shaping the English-language diving community by sharing the South Korea forum with others...

Question 2023 Summer Meet Up in South Korea?

Hi all, I know our community of English-speaking divers in Korea is very small, but I think it would be fun to organize a one-day dive at some point in the summer. I don't think we would attempt anything too challenging or expensive, as this would be more about actually meeting face-to-face and...

Considering Hanging it up...but...what to do after scuba??

Is there a reason you need to sell your gear? You could always keep it and use it less. You may think this is a silly comparison, but I think the concept of limiting yourself to certain things in poetry is what makes poetry appealing to write. Perhaps purposely limiting the types of dives you...

Is it safe to wear a nose clip while scuba diving?

Sometimes, I keep a tiny bit of water inside my mask, and if it gets fogged up, and can look straight down. The water "wipes away" the fog.

Trip Report Goseong: LF Munam Dive Resort

I really appreciate all of you keeping the forum active! It may be a while until I can dive again, but I certainly hope to help our little dive community thrive. Until I can dive again, I hope to find resources that I can share on the forum. Maybe it would be good for us to keep lists of dive...

    s.korea jeju island diving video

If you haven't already checked, under the "Dive Sites in South Korea" thread in the South Korea page, I added a map of Munsom which may be of some interest. That site is in the south, though. I think the north has more limited opportunities due to the ferries/airport.
