    Choptima MAV -> ADV

    I used the ADV for over a year. Switched to MAV. Pushing the MAV button is easier for me than sliding the ADV switch. Forgetting to slide it off/on increased task load more than mashing the button.

    "5 years or 300 dive hours" "In normal usage, the Swift transmitter's battery will last several years. Due to the infrequency of a battery change, we made the choice to go with a user removable cover as it allows for an overall a smaller design. The long period between the first low battery...

    DiveExtras - best i've used

    What the batteries slide onto is junk. You probably don't see it because you dont look that closely. I bet a large proportion of "battery imbalance issues" are caused by this. They're not made to get wet/damp. They're made for a drill. Looks like galvanized tin to me. Once I ditched the PTBs...

    Rebreathers and Sharks

    I was using my gopro as a deflector so I did get some great photos. Mixing spearfishers and non spearfishers on the same recreational trip is a suboptimal idea in my opinion.

    Rebreathers and Sharks

    I ended up too close to a bullshark feeding frenzy. The recreational dive trip had one hack spearfisher. He wounded a grouper (I didn't know that until I was back on the boat) and the sharks appeared from out of nowhere. I switched to OC to get out of that spot. Exciting, but I don't want to do...

    Unknown ‘The bagpiper of Decatur’ dies in scuba accident; missing son’s body found in treehouse

    That's some of the worst writing I think I've ever seen. The author then jumps into the comment section of his own article.
