    Will COZ close it’s borders?

Tres Pelicanos just offered me a refund of the deposit for my April trip.

    7mm wetsuit overkill for Bahamas?

Sounds like overkill to me and it means your buoyancy will vary more at depth.

    Vobster or Chepstow

Vobster is alright if you get in the bottom car park. If you don't, it's a massive PITA. Not been in years, so unsure how access to the bottom car park is organised these days. Last time I went, it was all schools with their student's kit strewn all over the kitting up benches.

    Coronavirus - Spain

I went to Lanzarote in February. The sea wasn't warm, about 18.5C, but it is very clear. You should see angel sharks, barracuda and sea horses. There are also a bunch of small wrecks near the marina of Puerto del Carmen. Top side, the island is a large volcanic rock. Taxes are lower than...

    Perdix AI alternatives?

With decompression being such an inexact science, I can't see why you need seconds either. I do have them on my OSTC, but I don't need them.

Is The Bianca C In Grenada Worth Diving?

I thought it was a great dive. I did it twice. Mind you, I did do 30 mins bottom time. Decoing with barracuda circling me was also pretty cool.

    Diving sites in Brazil

I dived with Aquáticos centro de mergulho em Recife In Recife. The wrecks were interesting. Also dived in Paraty and Ihla Grande. Tried to do the wreck in Ihla Grande but it was raining too hard to see the marks and they didn't have GPS. The reefs were alright in both places, though nothing special

Thoughts on Tres Pelicanos vs Aldora

Some boats in the UK do pasties for lunch but most do nothing other than hot drinks. Whenever we used to ask one skipper if he was doing any food, he tell us it was a dive boat not a restaurant, though he was a lot more sweary. Obviously we used to ask every trip.

    Black smb.

A bigger SMB should still fit in drysuit)wetsuit pockets. Not convinced a strobe would help much unless it's dark. From a UK perspective, we have a lot of daylight in the summer.

And 6ft high with a bit of width. Those skinny, short ones are hard to see in any swell.

    Black smb.

No it isn't. Everyone uses orange, with yellow reserved for emergencies.

    apeks xtx50,100 or 200

You can turn the XTX40 back, you just need to use an Allen key. The only difference between a 40 and a 50 is the knob. For me, being able to adjust the resistance in water is not particularly useful. You've still got the Venturi adjustment available.

    UK diving

In my experience, September is often quite blowy. Of course one of the joys of UK diving is that you can be blown out any time of the year.

Never been to Europe, considering Italy.

I've done Cabo De Palos. Lots of bigger grouper that you don't see elsewhere. There are also a couple decent wreck dives out of La Manga.

18L Steel Tank - advice needed

For twin 12s, you'd need a twin-set wing with at least 20 kgs if lift. A single wing would be too narrow and wouldn't inflate fully. Diving with twins isn't that different. It's a lot more weight, you're substantially more negatively bouyant at the start of the dive because of the extra gas...

18L Steel Tank - advice needed

So why do you think your gas consumption is high? 18s are huge and they weigh a ton. A UK dive shop used to have twin 18s on display and you could barely lift them. Don't think they ever sold them. I've never really found the need for anything bigger than a 12 on average liveaboard diving and...
