Same here. I need to do a test pack and see how much everything weighs. Gotta see how many changes of clothing I need to cut to bring a the gear I want ;)
Something else came to mind from a trip to the Maldives last year.
I would recommend bringing an empty bag in your carry on that is just big enough for your electronics and batteries.
I flew to Male without any issues. But I had a 300 mile domestic flight to the southern island of...
I'm in the process of setting up my GOPRO 12 with some of your recommended scuba settings. I seen it mentioned in a few different videos but I can't seem to access the menu to change between the different settings with the camera in the dive case. All I can get is to switch between photo, video...
Living overseas I have to deal with this whenever I need to call family in the US. If you want to call using your cell then you absolutely need to talk with your carried or the international roaming bill will be an unwelcome surprise when you get home. If you can wait for a WiFi signal there's...
I have an odd request.
There are a few items I'm looking for that I thought I would be able to find locally and now would need to purchase online. They are some small GOPRO camera accessories.
I have a military FPO address that will take 3 weeks to a couple months to get things shipped out...
I have
I have a a shipping address in the US that sends me my mail out here to Bahrain. I've bought quite a bit from Rob at the scuba museum. I missed out on a few of the Kraken items he had for sale so I make it a point to check in on the Online Store frequently. Hopefully I'll be going out...
I've been to the Maldives twice for dive trips. The first time (Feb 2020) I stayed at a Cinnamon resort on Ellaidhoo. It was a 25 minute sea plane flight or 40 minute speedboat ride from Male. They have basic rooms as well as the over water bungalows. There was a "house" reef around the island...
We've been temporarily living overseas (Kingdom of Bahrain) for the last 9 years. Similar climate, less rain more heat.
I wasn't so much asking the type, but the quantity of what she should bring.
I have a question for the ladies attending this trip.
Aside from your gear, how much clothing are you bringing? I'm trying to help my wife not over pack without sounding like I'm telling her what to bring. Any suggestions? Will there be any "formal" dinners or events/outings?
I rinsed off the red hoses last night and realized they're a bit smaller (length and diameter) than the black hoses that shipped with my Kraken. The previous owner had bought the rings for the larger hose, thus he glued the rings in place. I tried one of the rings from my black hose on the red...
I did try the squash and roll. Unfortunately the adhesive flexes with the squash and roll. I'll give them a try and see if there's any issues.
Welcome to the Kraken club Scott.
I have a set of the the VDH hose guards. I had to stop using them due to them wearing out a bit.
I mostly had to use mine because the hose would grab my beard and pull it out.
I'll have to see if I can get some made here.
