I used baby hair ties for a while, like Capt Lou, but the sides would always pull out and look crazy. Now I use a full hood, makes things easier.

I have a set of the the VDH hose guards. I had to stop using them due to them wearing out a bit. I mostly had to use mine because the hose would grab my beard and pull it out. I'll have to see if I can get some made here.
