I'm thinking to go to Turkey for the vacation in September and I'm looking for interesting dive sites including the ones for technical diving. I'm thinking about wrecks, not caves, and something more challenging than simple recreational diving.
What dive sites do you recommend? Has anyone did...
Fused RGBM 2 (P0) = ZHL16-C + GF 50/80
is for the default personal setting P=0.
RGBM Fused 2 (P-1) = ZNLC-GF 50/85
is for P=-1 (more aggressive).
RGBM Fused 2 (P1) = ZNLC-GF 40/75
is for P=1 (more conservative).
Of cause, it's the approximate comparison. This time I increased the BT a bit, I...
I compared Fused RGBM 2 (personal=0) with Buhlmann GF. As an example, I used a 50 m dive with the 15 min bottom time. For simplicity, I used 10 m/min for the ascend/descent rate.
DM5 shows this profile for Fused RGBM 2 (personal=0):
In the tabular form:
I played with the GF values and it...
I've just updated my EON Core with the new version 2.0 without any problems. I see that the algorithm is Fused RGBM 2 now. There is a new option: continuous decompression, or 3-m steps.
Thank you, I'll check his blog. Yes, I'm aware that the thread is old, but the topic is still hot.
He is the quote from the article link that I posted above:
"ZHL-16C could be adjusted to pass all of the tests with GF-Hi < = 70 and GF-Lo > = 55. Suunto-RGBM could be made to pass all of the...
My gut feeling is that the computer SAC calculation is skewed during the descent. SAC = dV/dt / D(t). If the depth D (expressed in atm) changes with time t rapidly, comparing to the pressure sampling rate, the SAC calculation will be off.
Here is the tec dive with the dry suit and heavy gear at Blue Hole in Dahab:
Again, I see that the high SAC rate coincided with the descent. We spend more then 10 minutes at the surface before starting the descent. I think that rules out the drop in the tank pressure due to the temperature.
I'm using a Suunto Eon Core computer with the transmitter for several months by now. I noticed that it reports a very high SAC rate at the beginning of every dive. Sometimes, the initial SAC rate is as high as 80 l/min. I wonder what can be the reason for that?
Here is an example of a pool...
What's the best way to put on a harness, the right arm first, or the left arm first?
I'm using a BP/W with a single piece harness and a single tank. It's definitely the right arm first if I'm diving in a wet suit. Both of the regulator hoses are on the right and I make sure that they run...
It has the Bluetooth synchronization with the smartphone. I love this feature. You need to install the Suunto app to your phone. It automatically syncs with the phone after the dive.
In addition, it has DM5 software for PC/Mac. It provides more detailed info about the dive. It also allows to...
I've got the reply from Waterproof customer support:
"The TIZIP should be stored closed in order to protect the zipper from dirt and damage, and also prevent it from becoming bent/disformed."
It does not say anything about the docking end, although I explicitly asked them about it.
