Looking for a scuba-related or ocean-related disco song

Hi friends, My wife and I are dive buddies, but also [social] dancers. For a Halloween special we are preparing a hustle (slow disco) where we'll be wearing our wetsuits, masks and snorkels. Do you know of any song that talks about the ocean, or even better, scuba diving, and that want to make...

Transpac XT + Voyager XT bungie - where does the clip go?

Hi, On a Voyager XT, attached to a Transpac XT, does the bungie clip have to be attached somewhere other than how it comes, which is attached to the bungie. (as visible on Voyager Series | Dive Rite). If it's fine as it is, why is there a clip? Any reason to unclip it at some point (for...

New reg, hard to breathe on surface when honking

Yes, when it's pressurized. It's ok under water, very smooth as expected. I haven't tried my octo on the surface. Will do just to see.

New reg, hard to breathe on surface when honking

Will definitely try to breathe more gently to see. This might be me gasping for more air and trying too hard. My wife says the same, though and she not big as I am. I always purchase from my LDS, as they are really great consultants and I want to encourage them. Overall, they are not more...

New reg, hard to breathe on surface when honking

My wife and I purchased our first regs. SP mk11 / S560. They honk above water, especially if they are wet. I've read the forum extendable and know this is normal. However, when they start honking on the inhale, they become very hard to breath from. So much that I just can't keep breathing from...

Surfing + Diving in the same place?

We are planning for a dive trip next summer. My wife and I are vacation divers, daughter (15) will get her OWD as part of that trip. HOWEVER, our son (17) does not enjoy diving enough but I know he'd love to go to a surf camp / school / safe beach for the whole week while we are diving. Any...

Blood Pressure - affected by ambiant pressure?

Hi, I have controlled HBP and I'm all good to dive. I also read a lot of comments in here about HBP. But I've always wondered if the blood pressure is affected by depth / ambiant pressure. Just by curiosity because I feel so good underwater, the way I feel when I have perfect BP readings...

Diver Training, Has It Really Been Watered Down???

I'm not a doctor, but I am taking diuretics as a result to HBP as well. The diuretics though are to counter the effects of my pressure reducing med (sorry, don't know the exact word) which is ankle swelling, and also helps eliminate the sodium and potassium, which I have issues getting rid of...

    Your advice is requested

Of course, I'll see what I can do about this. That's why I did put the effort in find the most pressing issues. I have a few ideas which I am exploring right now to see which ones are feasible and self-sustainable. It will take me a few months to develop and test some of these solutions, while...

    Your advice is requested

Polls are not solving any problem, they are just highlighting them. They might help by telling the story of what casual divers are feeling. I get that you are very experienced, more than 99% of the divers, and that you know where to go to find resources and what type of charter not to board. My...

    Your advice is requested

Obviously... That was a survey and I promised to provide the feedback to this thread. Let me know if you think I missed anything. I believe that stating a problem is the first step in solving it. The idea is not to complain or be cynic, but to act.

    Your advice is requested

Alright. Results are in. Thanks for those who did not send me f.u.'s. I'm really looking to address issues by finding a useful service or product. The most important issues seem to be around: 1) knowledge of what and where to look 2) groups speeding, doing mileage more than time of observation...

    Your advice is requested

I'm sorry you really felt that way. The ideas I've had as a test were really to find out if there were any educational materials people wanted. These are not actual products at all and I do not own any of these nor am trying to market those. I apologize if you felt like this was a waste of...

    Your advice is requested

Hi reef life enthusiasts. As I was discussing with friends on what they like and dislike when diving on reefs, I noticed that the experiences people had was very diverse and not necessarily related to experience/certification level. Some even stopped diving or dive a lot less because of these...
