Steel HP100 or HP120 and reserve air in tank?

Thanks InWay2Deep I'm really curious about the tanks and yes I should give them both a try. Great to hear your preference in tank size. I've got to stop thinking about it and go diving! :-)

Choosing a steel tank to purchase

Thought I’d add my questions to this thread as moving into steel tanks and thinking of HDG HP117: Which do you like better - steel HP100 or HP117 (shore diving), and do divers find the HP117 too short? I’m 6’1” tall, 215 lbs

Steel HP100 or HP120 and reserve air in tank?

Thanks Iowwall – after more in-depth reading of the 8 pages of the thread you suggested I feel I have a much better understanding. As mentioned I was hung up on the Rule of 1/3’s, as that was one aspect of my training, but can see now this originated in cave diving. As I’m an OW solo shore...

Steel HP100 or HP120 and reserve air in tank?

Hi, I’ve completed a solo course and enjoy the freedom of taking pics at my own pace, but would like to increase tank size. I shore dive with a slung 40, and a single aluminum 80. Leaving a reserve in my main tank has been leaving me a bit limited. So .. lately I’ve been diving using my older...

    Solo Diving Gear Set-up

Hi I live in the Pacific Northwest, would like to start solo diving, and am in the early stages of gear set-up. I currently dive with an aluminum 80 and 30ft3 pony bottle on my back when diving with a buddy. This set-up I’ve used for years and feel fairly independent. I’m thinking of adding...
