As fate would have it I am taking a class with him in 2 weeks. After talking with him he did seem really knowledgeable and I am very much looking forward to his class and going sidemount
yeah i found that out during purchase so I took advantage of it as well. The shear amount of knowledge that I have gained just through the first couple hours of video has been well worth the money...
Wow pretty impressive I'm not sure I have ever seen this many people agree in one thread on ScubaBoard I am sold I will be purchasing the purchasing the series today !!!!
I have been dabbling in side for a little bit now and am in no way a sidemount diver but i have seriously considering doing the course on sidemount.com the price is acceptable I am just wondering if it is worth the money and can you really learn Sidemount from an online course or would you say I...
Those of you that took training at Protec, which instructor did you use and why ? Also when I take my SM course should I take it there in combination with the cavern course? Or take SM here in Houston and then go there and take intro there? I have been diving with Protec (well a guide associated...
No Class is already set up I am just waiting on my last reg set to come in. I have to very good guys that work in the shop I teach for that are willing to teach me and they wont let me out of the class without being 110% dialed in. My plan is to get dialed in the have about 25-30 dives dialed in...
Thanks for the input as I am most certainly in the club of rotund. I like the idea of the bungee and boltsnap idea versus the stock chest strap. Why did you go back to Y ?
I watched this and this is where the question started. My intention is to do Intro to Cave in Mx and full Cave in Fl (after many dives in SM and only when I feel like I have everything right With some training). If H is designed for steels and Y is designed for AL then being in H config would...
Ok being new to Sidemount I mean got all of my gear, and trying to get it all kinda preset (if that's even a thing from what I have been reading). My gear consist of 2 Scubapro MK25's with 2 Scubapro G260's Katana 2 using Jubilee bands and para cord nay or may not go with para cord leash on the...
That is something I have been doing. Because of the routing I was using the tip being pressed in my shorts or underwear I never realized that there shouldn't be that much restriction (backpressure) when I was trying to go now that I am aware I have corrected the routing of the hose to eliminate...
Oh I am very Aware of how easy the back pressure can break the glue. I guess I just thought there was supposed to be that much backpressure and I had to try and regulate the flow. However finding that the cath was "pinched" by my underwear and shorts because I didn't trim it. When I rerouted...
Whoo Hoo I belive i have figured out what my issues are. Thanks to all who have helped me get this figured out very much appreciated .. Frist the Skin Prep amazing stuff helped me a ton, the size of the cath wasn't the issue it was hose routing and trimming the cath down to the size of the QD...
I measured and used the bard sizing guide when I purchased them and the size I ordered (because I was in between ) I ordered the smaller one and I have ordered a 3 pack of the next smaller size just incase the issues was shrinkage .... I will be diving this weekend so I will try the skin...
I have ordered the size down and I am also waiting on skin prep to come in so that i can try that as well
the cath is separating from the shaft most time on the first go
All great advice thank you all. The issue I have been experiencing is that it seems like with no kinks I tend to get separation the first time I go. is this a sizing issue or just a prep issue with the skin ? or possibly a combination of both?
