    Tech fins?

I've been looking at these fins for use in cold water (at home) and on holiday/vacation in warm water. How is best with the sizings to order the ideal size?

    Fins, Fins and more fins!

I think you have helped me settle! I am looking at the Grey HD's to be honest - and only going for Grey as I like the colour and to tell them apart as I know loads of people with them in black!!! How do you adapt wearing these from warm to cold water then?

    Fins, Fins and more fins!

Thanks for the advice - I will put them on my list to review. Looks like they are about 2kg in weight for the pair & the RK3's are around 2.5kg a pair!

    Fins, Fins and more fins!

Hi all, I am looking at purchasing my first pair of fins, but I am stuck with the dilemma! I need ones that are going to be ok for me in cold UK water and also good for me to take on holiday with me into the warm water. I have been looking at the Apeks RK3's - do you think this will do me...

PADI - Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver - Course

Thanks everyone! From what I have seen PADI eLearning seems pretty pointless!

PADI - Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver - Course

Hi all, Don't know if any of you would be able to help me out... I see you can do this course online now with PADI from their website, and nearly everywhere sells this as a classroom only course (some with 2 dives with nitrox - which I know are not needed to get the cert). If you do the...

    First Sea Dive Advice...

@nolatom It was really good, couldn't have asked for two better first shallow and deep dives. Didn't see much from an aquatic life perspective with them being quite local - but it allowed me to follow my training, and practice not sucking air. Credit on the deep dive there were 2 chaps from...

Thanks for the tip, I'm still at the stage that I'm nervous a tad so I'm checking more frequent than most, so I should be okay!

    First Sea Dive Advice...

I'm here for a wedding so the 2 dives is a bonus at the minute, if I can get more in, I'll book them when I arrive. I am using these dives as experience and learning more than to explore the sea - that is just a bonus. I know I'll be limited on bottom time, but again this will help with me...

    First Sea Dive Advice...

Brilliant thanks for the help! Going that side of the world the only thing that I am nervous about I think is they all use: ft instead of metres PSI instead of bar Is the transition pretty straight forward? or do you just stick to metres and bar.

    First Sea Dive Advice...

Some good sound advice here - I have spoken to the dive shop and they have confirmed Dive Masters go on all dives for the company I am using! Confirmed I am covered on my insurance and have bought my first dive computer to enjoy it. No camera being taken down with me, I want to get ultimate...

    First Sea Dive Advice...

Hi all, So I have completed 10 dives so far (OW & AOW), but all have been part as training and have been in cold water - in-land UK quarries. I travel to Mexico (Playa Del Carmen) in a couple of days for a wedding and have 2 dives booked so far: 1st dive depth ~13m 2nd dive depth ~27m The...

Starting to buy your own dive equipment

I bought a dive computer today - just the basic ZOOP NOVO (just because I am going on holiday next month, and wanted to be quite conservative - as it will be my first dive certified). This will last me a few dives, before I am able to then get a more sooped up computer! The next step is to...

    Rescue Course...

So for the majortiy of the Rescue Courses, you require OW/AOW... How many dives would you recommend having completed before you take the rescue course? Also - what fundamental skills would you recommend you have nailed before booking on?

Starting to buy your own dive equipment

That's good to hear! Hopefully I will manage to get a new drysuit before the year is out, and be able to try some of the other in-land sites around the UK for training!
