    Good grief.

Nothing, she is very good she is just concerned as she overestimates the risk.

    Good grief.

I am going to use that argument with my wife. The problem is that she hates anything to do with going under water. She has never raised an objection though, before now. The new wife would have to be under 40 though

    Sold On Nitrox

I fully agree with you. I find the cold to be a much greater cause of fatigue than depth or even time. In UK diving I am much more prone to fatigue in the winter than summer ( accepting that there is a seasonal variation in feelings of fatigue).

Nitrox when others are on air

You are very mistaken if you think that diving is not really a thing in the UK. It's very active, and has been since the 50's!

    Immersion Pulmonary Edema (IPE)

Very difficult, but well said and I agree with you. I have a friend who had two episodes and would not give up. He very nearly died on another dive and is now not diving again and being investigated.

    Any other Brits on here?

Yes, Midlands. Ex tech diver, now shore diving North Wales, West Coast Scotland and quarries. Slowly giving up!

Active Divers over the age of 50

It's ok, I left BSAC years ago!

Active Divers over the age of 50

66, UK diving. Ex tech, no longer warm water diving. Dive every week 100 plus per year. Avoid deco now. Losing enthusiasm.

Where did you solo dive today?

I fully agree, the sea lochs are fantastic, but I have not been in three years. You can always get a dive

    I'm such an idiot!

If ever I have a problem or omission in kitting up, its when distracted. I very nearly did the same but managed to catch it.

TBH I envy you. The west coast of Scotland boasts fantastic diving.
