    Dutch scuba fans?

Hello again! I think that's a true statement, though it depends of course. I've seen divers with "Dutch experience" scatter like flies in Indonesia because the visibility was so good (me among them...it was a while ago), sometimes it's hard to remember the buddy system I guess. We learned a lot...

    Scubapro Hydros Pro descending difficulty?

I use the hydros too, don't really have that problem. When I'm in my double 6.5 mm wetsuit (full suit and shorty with hood over it) I need 8 kilograms (about 17,5 lbs) in salt water, with a 12 liter steel cylinder. What's your equipment when you're diving? Salt or fresh water? Did you do a...

Freshly certified diver from the Netherlands

Good to have you! I wish I had a diving girlfriend :daydream: The Netherlands is a good place to gain some experience, you should definitely look to diving in Zeeland if you haven't yet! It's where I have and will be diving for the rest of the year since my vacation to South Africa, surprise...

    Dutch scuba fans?

We houden het hier prima uit, mijn tweelingbroer is terug in zeeland gekomen aangezien het niet zo prettig was om in een klein appartement in brabant te blijven. Tis in ieder geval gezellig hier. Ik ben intussen aan mijn divemaster theorie begonnen, genoeg om me voorlopig even bezig te houden...

    "Scuba fabric" ... evidently, it's a 'thing'!

Kim Kardashian has worn a triathlon wetsuit casually sometime in the past, neoprene in fashion isn't too much of a new thing I believe.

    Mega chinese spamming!

Looks like there is more spam, it's about university graduation certificates or something stupid like that.

Newbie to diving from South Africa

Welcome! I'm actually coming to South Africa this october, it looks like a fun place to dive!

what do you wear under your wetsuit?

Most often I don't wear anything, it just feels the most comfortable for me. I do have the courtesy to wear jammers when I have to change on a small boat, though ;)

    Belgian newbie says hi

Welcome to scubaboard! There's an argument to be made for both traditional and DIR setups, but eventually you should go with the option that's most comfortable for you and your buddy so I think you made the right choice. Also, check out the BeNeLux section under Western Europe if you want to...

    hi

Hey Mikie, nice of you to join our community! Diving is a great way to forget about all the hardships you face. I'm talking out of my own experience since I have autism as well and I'm diving for four years now. I think it'd be very brave of you if you decide to take up scuba diving. Though it...

    Dutch scuba fans?

I'm Ruben, from Zeeland (very convenient) and I dive a lot locally (even a few times in winter, in my wetsuit ) , a lot of nice spots to choose from. I dive with the people from DiveXpress in Heinkenszand most of the time, which is a lovely tight-knit community of divers, and I might go to South...

Mermaid reporting in - Happy New Year!

Yes, the very first day we found six of them feeding beneath a fishing platform. Amazing creatures, they really didn't mind us at all. Seen lots of reef sharks, manta rays, sea turtles and a few tresher (not me :( ) and leopard sharks as well. You can check out a video when you look up patrick...

Mermaid reporting in - Happy New Year!

Mostly in the Netherlands, I live in zeeland so that's convenient. I did go on dive vacation once in 2017 to Derawan, Indonesia which was the best dive experience I had so far. Definitely doing it again.

    Liveaboard with fewer old people?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm in a dive club which I dive with mostly locally, but there are only people who are at least 15 years older (I can understand diving in the murky Netherlands might not be appealing for others my age) or under the age of 12. Your other suggestions might lead to...
