Has anyone had any experience with the Osmo action for diving? I also wanted to see if anyone saw any good filters and waterproof housings that would work for them as well. There doesn't seem to be any products directly from DJI yet.
so consensus is buy a long sleeve for the UV protection? guess I don't see the benefit of buying a short sleeve one. Also most likely these dives wont go deep max 40 feet. Were also talking Florida so I expect the weather to be very humid and hot so I think a shortie would want to make me pass out
I will be traveling to Florida in July and I plan on doing some reef dives. I hear the water is supposed to get up to mid 80s and im generally pretty good with the cold. "usually fine with a 7mm down to mid 40s" I was wondering if there is a big difference between the long sleeve or short sleeve...
I will be primarily diving in NJ east coast waters fresh and ocean water. My diving will mostly be in the summer/warmer 50F-75F months dont expect to do any dry suit diving anytime soon and eventually want to move to a single steel tank instead of an aluminum tank. Will probably be rocking a 7mm...
does anyone have experience with Palantic backplates? I was wondering if I could pair it up with possibly oxycheq or even VDH wings? https://www.amazon.com/Scuba-Choice-Technical-Stainless-Backplate/dp/B00IKU8NOC/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=ss+backplate&qid=1555717315&s=gateway&sr=8-7-spell
I plan on most likely checking luggage if im traveling for diving
I usually dive with a single 7 MM sometimes with a hood, aluminum single tank in fresh water but do plan to do salt water dives in the future. Havent invested in a tank yet so im just renting for now. (NJ diver). Not necessarily...
I plan on getting it on golemgear for $290. I wouldnt spend more than $300 on a wing
Hmm I just noticed the #35 wing just came in stock as well. Now I might have some decisions to make the Oxycheq #30 or the VDH #35. I feel the #35 might be too much lift though?
Also I guess another weird...
I see alot of apeks being sold as din. Would it be advisable since I am mostly diving in the U.S as well as warm water locations to switch the regulator from DIN to Yoke. Is that possible on the apeks XL4 Reg? Or would it be easier not as detrimental to just put on an adapter?
Ive noticed anywhere but the U.S the apeks products are more budget friendly. Has anyone had any experience ordering from overseas? I noticed they even sell packages of the first and second stage with octo for the XL4. However I think I might as well splurge and go for the XL4+ due to the extra...
I found a deal for a DiveRite set Basic Harness BPW package for $399 anyone have insight on this setup? Also what does the option for web my harness mean? any clues?
Would it be bad if a wing had more lift than necessary. Im getting a feeling a wing around 30lbs would be sufficient but I'm seeing some wings that are around 40lbs of lift
would it be advisable to get a a back plate that can just support single tanks instead of getting the STA? I dont see myself doing doubles any time soon
I dive mostly in fresh water for now and am 5'7 and weigh around 150 pounds. Other than trail and error at this point is their an easier way to determine how much weight I would need?
I am fairly new at diving but I am very intrigued about back plate and wing setup. I want to just start with this type of setup instead of buying a jacket bcd. I had a few questions though. I plan on mostly diving with single tank. I am diving with a 7mm wet suit so I have a bunch of questions...
