    Orca Pilot

The gear that I picked up came with a old Orca Pilot dive computer. The battery was dead well it should be as it had a 1997 date on it. But I ordered a battery to see if it will still work. Well it does but I dont know how to operate it. Does anyone actually have a manual for it?

What should I get for a metal detector?

Only thing I had to pay was shipping yo them. Mine drown in 3 feet of water.

    Cheap underwater metal detectors

Those are good for shallow targets and are PI machines also so every nail and Bobby pin will make it sing. I want one for a few spots I snorkel. I just use my Garrett pinpointer for those spots now. Does the same just takes a bit more to cover a area.

What should I get for a metal detector?

I think he did until he figured out what works. And also took 1 way to deep to see when the pressure would crack the screen. Ever since I re did my orings on mine I haven't had a issue. I did drown mine 1 time. But it was a fast fix by MineLab. I now just use my Equinox 800 in the water. When i...

What should I get for a metal detector?

You can adapt the CTX to dive deeper. Look up Frogman Riviera on YouTube and check out his mods. But the Minelab Excalibur II is one of the best. Call a dealer and never pay retail.

    Cheap underwater metal detectors

A cheap detector is not a good detector. I have been a detectorist for years. It will depend on what you want to find and where you want to find it. One of the best driving detectors is a Minelab Excalibur II for the money. Never buy off line call any of the detecting dealers and get a deal. I...

    PADI book question.

I didn't get a wetsuit. Just a BCD the regs and gauges plus a mask snorkel and Mares fins and a dive gear bag. All for a whopping $50. The other gear is in great shape and I examined the hoses using a magnifier head peice I use for other stuff. The hoses are in great shape visually. The other...

Thanks for the feedback. I will just let these sit on a shelf and collect dust. But for those wondering the gear I bought was mainly picked up for the regulators and gauges. The rest I will hang on to for my wife after it is all checked out. I dont see a model for the US Divers reg. I...

    PADI book question.

These books came with some used gear I picked up and I was wondering did the training rules change from the publication of these? They are from 1996.

    Hello ScubaBoard.

I have always wanted to get SCUBA certified and never had time. Looking to change that as I love the water and have been snorkeling most of my life. I am slowly gathering equipment and hopefully by next summer I can get my certification. My wife is interested also but wants me to get certified...
