Indeed it is interesting that there is no guided, resort style diving, advertised. Lots of boats but for the casual diver without a built in buddy I agree it’s not easy to figure out where to go for a fun dive.
The way it works for me is to:
1- Fit the glove first
2- wedge the bottom of the rings and hold pressed against my body
3- lock the top by pressing glove ring and suit ring together with one hand
Note: 1- The glove should not be fitted too short on the ring 2- The o-ring should be clean and...
+1 DAN Europe made sense for me on cost, coverage and reputation. Also worth noting that some good travel insurances may cover you for Scuba Diving but with limitations (i.e 18m max, no shark diving..)
For what it's worth, I see a difference in molding design on the hinge of the shoulder strap on my model (reinforced). It's likely some early issues have been addressed and although I agree that Scubapro should have stressed tested this better before shipping, it's a shame people would now be...
So far so good from my perspective. Light, easy to accessorise, easy to travel with, easy to load weights, easy to put on. Only ±20 dives but likely to stick with it for the foreseeable future. So far no sign of any issue, and I'm not necessarily gentle with it.
Sadly the Scubapro G2 manual doesn't include much useful information on the compass. The Scubapro YouTube video on the topic is not much use either, simply repeating the few steps from the manual. One critical thing that is missing is the significance of the various symbols. This is what I got...
It looks like I'm having the same problem. I started a chat with Scubapro on another topic (The Scubapro G2 manual doesn't include any information on compass symbols). Here's a short movie of the problem, with the compass sticking between N - E despite a slow 360˚ turn:
I'll start a new thread...
The wrist ring is easy to install, you follow the manual's instructions to remove the clips and existing seal and install the seal/ring assembly from the ultima kit with plenty of lube and conscient pressure all around. For the glove fitting to the ring (remember they don't come with gloves)...
It's a two part product. One set of rings fits on the current wrist seal rings and the gloves are fitted on the other set. They then click together to form the seal.
2 minutes.... even with the plastic pipe tool (no hope with just the wood holder) it took me quite a bit more than 2 minutes. I'm starting to think I'm the weakest person on hearth! +1 on the thread, thank you to all who contributed!
So far so good. Hard to make a good show without falling in the many traps (too much bar talk, too local, too many jingles...etc) a good balance in the few episodes I’ve listened to. I like the round up of the news, saves me having to read them all. Very promising and I haven’t heard anything...
It’s all about geekiness! Indeed a 320*240 image on your wrist may not be all that useful but you never know, you may need that treasure map! More interesting is the fact that most people only need a tablet or phone day to day and that there is a way to update/interact with your dive computer...
The title may be a bit specific and this method may apply to other dive computers and mobile devices but that’s what I tried, feel free to contribute your own experience...or questions.
Given weight restrictions when travelling and resilience of computers with moving parts, an iPad is the...
