I do this before every dive. It’s especially helpful when you’ve got lots of heavy kit to put on as your undergarments move. It was your fundies instructor that showed me the trick so wind your neck in
Ya’ll put them in them thar E-lectronic breathers fella.
Little known rb80 fact that I completely made up... the RB80 has to be wound like a watch every 46 and a half minutes. This is can only be done by another diver and that’s where team diving comes from.
Why complicate things?
All over Europe GUE divers use double 12s. The odd time people will use something bigger for deeper cave. Most dive centres across Europe rent d12s too.
Speak to your instructor.
Ideally if you’re going the GUE route you want the same tanks that your team will
be diving. It simplifies gas planning and puts everyone on the same page.
@PfcAJ has he convinced you to dive 70/85 yet?
How are you guys managing the ascent from a practical point of view? For example if you do a 30 min 150ft dive, are you coming up to 70ft, gas switch then moving straight up to 50ft?
Min deco ascent is the numbers deco planner spits out running at 20/85 for dives within the NDLs. It also keeps everyone on the same page as to how fast were going and where we’re stopping.... plus that 9m/min bit at the start is great fun
All about body position. Head back, arms out, clench your butt cheeks, bend your knees and widen your legs.
Experiment with using foot and arm position and see what it does to your trim.
Maybe your tank down a little to create room for your noggin. Keep the fins, rk3 are neutral in salt.
I had the halo 3D and Didn’t think it was worth the money. I upgraded to a Santi BZ400X and found it much warmer and keeps heat when wet.
I dive in the UK so water temps are similar.
