    Passport rules for Philippines

I'm just starting to plan my second dive trip to the Philippines for May/June 2024 timeframe, and noticed my US passport expires in early Oct 2024. Does anyone know if Philippines requires 6 months remaining on your passport to travel there?

For Sale Pinnacle Cruiser 3mm wetsuit, mens XLS, new never worn, no tags, $170

It was probably folded up in my dive bag until I went to Cozumel in 2021... I only get to dive every few years. Thanks for looking.

For Sale Pinnacle Cruiser 3mm wetsuit, mens XLS, new never worn, no tags, $170

Bought it new before my Philippine trip in 2018, but only used my 1.5mm Shadow suit once I got there. Been hanging in my closet ever since. Probably tried it on once. Gained about 15lbs since Covid so doubt this will fit me anymore. Selling so I can get a bigger size. 😞 $170+ actual shipping...

    Puerto Galera April trip plan

I have a pinnacle 1.5mm full wetsuit for years that has been good for warm water diving. Mainly good to keep the inadvertent stings off... also has rubber knee pads when you want to stop on the bottom. Shadow — Pinnacle Much better than the 8mm I have had to use here in "sunny" San...

    Puerto Galera April trip plan

I stayed 9 nights in PG/Sabang Beach back in May 2018 as a solo diver and first trip to PI. I just started looking at doing a similar trip for May/June 2024 and saw your thread. When I went late May it was "shoulder season" so prices are less and way less crowded. El Galleon/Asia divers...

First trip to Philippines and I have a few questions (Sabang Beach area)

Not a problem, I love guns and good guys with guns makes me feel safer! Thinking of a little full auto practice at the local range while in PG, depending on ammo costs of course. 2.7 sec for 30 rounds out of an M4 gets costly pretty fast.

Closed: Scubapro AIR2 5th gen, new in box, reduced!

Yep, I needed a 16" adapter hose which is not available. I already bought an SS1 and installed it on my BCD. Thanks anyway.

Reducing inner diameter of corrugated hose

Check out north east scuba supply. They sell a 12" long 3/4" to 1" corrugated adapter hose. I was looking at it to install an AIR2 to my BCD which comes with 3/4" hose/dump elbow, but I needed 16" long hose to keep the reg in my mouth.

Closed: Scubapro AIR2 5th gen, new in box, reduced!

I bought this for my upcoming trip but when I went to install it on my BCD, I found it had a 3/4" corrugated hose. This is meant for a 1" hose which is more common. I tried finding a 16"adapter hose but no luck. So I am selling this to buy an Atomic SS1 that comes with adapters for different...

"Standard" corrugated tube diameter on BCD?

    I just confirmed Hollis no longer makes the 1" x 1/2" x 16" AIR 2 adapter hose.

"Standard" corrugated tube diameter on BCD?

I had measured the port on the BCD for the shoulder elbow. It was about 1 3/4" at the threads so around 44/45mm. I figured if I took it in to an LDS I might be able to compare it or test fit parts off of some other BCD's (maybe rentals) to get a better idea if another brands elbow may work. I...

"Standard" corrugated tube diameter on BCD?

I found this corrugated AIR 2 adapter hose by Hollis that is 16", but it says 1" x 1/2". Is anyone familiar with Hollis equipment to know if they really only use a 1/2" hose barb on their gear? (seems like that would be pretty small to me.) Corrugated Adapter Hose 16”, Air 2 (1” x 1/2” hose)

"Standard" corrugated tube diameter on BCD?

That's an awesome find! Thanks for sharing. Yeah, too bad it is only 12" as 16" would have been perfect for my application! I am going to dig a bit more to see if they make a 16" one... G1138 thanks for the input. It's one of the things I had considered with a 22". A review for the...

"Standard" corrugated tube diameter on BCD?

I have an IST BCD that I bought new 8 or 9 years ago and has served me well for 60-70 recreational dives, mainly in warm water Cozumel, and a few dive trips here in SoCal. I am planning a trip to Puerto Galera Philippines for late May and I decided to get an AIR2 (5th gen) to add to my BCD (and...

    California diving

If you are looking to dive in San Diego, check out Power Scuba (on-line dive club) that is on the meetup.com website. Free to join and get on their email list. They charter local boats and do the dives "at cost" so it is very reasonable. They have stuff going on all the time and boats fill up...
