I now have two computers and was looking to get cables for them but not once I saw the price!!!
I did find the dcbuddy, which I can get including a second cable for the other computer, for about the cost of one cable. Seems a much better option to me.

Ok so the deal on the DiveRite was too good to pass up, the guy threw in some extra hoses, the originals plus a couple braided flexi ones, as well as a lp bc inflator hose.
He only did 15 dives with it so is basically new. Price was less then 60% of new here, and cheaper than if I brought...
Ok, but DiveRite is a brand you would say is worth considering?
I also found and second hand mk17 with r390 or s600
so my list is now
second hand scubapro mk17 (it's a few years old so would probably need servicing before I could use it)
Dive Rite xt1 with two xt2 and spg
possibly deep6 if...
Actually I was digging around the store of the guys I use to service my gear and I found the Dive Rite gear in their tech diving section, so servicing wouldn't be an issue.
Plus the pricing is within my budget.
not to mention all this talk about doing your own reg servicing has made me think...

What about Dive Rite gear, the xt1 first with xt2 second stage? it's not a brand I have heard of before.
I have looked at trademe, but I'm leaning towards new/or near new, would feel a bit more comfortable with gear with little to none unknown history.

Cheapest I can find the mk17 is $800 NZD which is about $585 USD and that's with a c350 second stage
and after quick look at deep6 has sparked my interest, pricing looks within budget and seems to be great...

And yes a second HP port would provide greater future flexibility, Looking at computers I have been leaning towards an integrated console - most likely the Aqualung i550, big numbers easy to read ;-) however some of the wrist mount look very good and I can imagine...
