I agree with @AggieDiver , take the AA to GCM. That's the safest. I've done it and yes having to recheck bags is a pain but at least you'll be there in time for the flight. Re the 5pm flight, I agree with what @tridacna has said but I've never had it cancel on me so I guess I'm lucky. On one...

I wouldn't risk it. Used to be there were multiple GCM-LYB flights a day, with one leaving as late at 5pm I think, but I'm seeing now last flight leaving GCM on Saturday is at 2:45. But just checking, I'm seeing a couple of AA flights out of MIA to GCM in the morning, why not take one of those...

I agree 100% re LCBR but good luck getting in they're pretty booked up. And I have to be honest, I found the diving at Grand Turk in 2021 only ok. Also, at least in 2021 they did not have Nitrox, which for me is meaningful. I agree Ocean Frontiers is well worth a trip.

Absolutely terrifying. Flew Batik Jakarta-Sorong, Sorong-Yogykarta last year. All good but this is terrifying.

Agree 1000% re Air Tags--I put them in my backpack, rollaboard and of course any checked bags, which usually get one Air Tag and one Pebble (which are really great, much louder than Air Tags and rechargable).

Seems to me you could easily carry all of that and some other stuff onboard in a standard cabin-sized rollaboard. I use a Tumi and it fits my Zeagle Covert, my (rather large) reg bag (into which I also put my 2 YS-D2 strobes and Kraken vid light) and my housing and related hardware. I've never...
