    Aquarium dive

Hi there. Looking for some feedback on either of these two: 1) the National Aquarium dive in Abu Dhabi, or 2) the dive experience at Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Has anyone done these? Are they pretty similar? Any idea which experience might be better? Thanks.

    Best dive sites Bonaire

Front Porch and The Cliff can also make for decent night dives, and have relatively simple access.

3D mapping and dive guide development planned for Curacao

Thanks so much. This is great feedback. We've had similar feedback from others about Curacao - that it just seems a little more challenging than Bonaire from a shore diving perspective. People have given us similar feedback about Cayman Brac, which many people have heard can be shore dived but...

3D mapping and dive guide development planned for Curacao

We use a combination of photogrammetry, GPS tracking, aerial drones and sonar. We've developed a bit of a highbred model as we've found that we often need additional data depending on the complexity of the site.

3D mapping and dive guide development planned for Curacao

Hi everyone. You might be familiar with our Reef Smart Guides from Florida, Bonaire and Cayman, among other places. We’re starting development work on a Curacao guidebook this spring, which would match the same look and feel as the other guides in the series. We would love your feedback on the...

    Ocean Frontiers

Accommodation was great. You're in the East End, so not a ton of food options around, but I had no problems. There's enough variety at Eagle Rays and I checked out a couple places beyond too.

Question What to expect for diving in Saint Thomas in early May

Worth a dive or two if you can squeeze it in. I was there last week and hit up a few sites: The US Navy Barges, Cartanza Senora, Coki Beach and French Cap. French Cap was the best, but also the furthest out. Reasonable coral cover and fish life - plenty of sharks. I plan to return to visit some...

    Ocean Frontiers

Ocean Frontiers is a great operation, with superb accommodation. Food options are also great. As far as the diving goes, the east end is outstanding. Enjoy!

    Trip Report Gozo

Quick question about Malta if you can help. How long does it take to get to the sites in Gozo from a Malta operator? Do most of the Malta operators stick to dive sites around Malta? I have one day to dive - what would be the best two sites to visit? Any recos for opertors in Malta? Thanks

    Shoreline map project

Hi everyone. I thought this might be of interest to the group. We've been working on mapping the reefs and wrecks in NW Florida for a while now and this project branched from the guidebook we just created for the region. We designed 8 of these beach signs for shore-accessible dive and snorkel...

The story of the Doc Polson

Great story! thanks for sharing Tony. We had looked into his story a little ourselves while we were creating our dive and snorkel guide for the island. We had found so many conflicting spellings of his name: Polson, Poulson, and even Paulson. Various Cayman government wesites, including the...

    Shore diving in Grand Cayman

Definitely, we had to leave a few contenders out. Don Foster’s is a good one – we call that site Casuarina Point in the book. Honorable mentions also go out to Spanish Bay Reef, Waldo’s Reef (home of Waldo the friendly green moray back in the day), Smith Cove, and Roger’s Reef on the East End...

    Shore diving in Grand Cayman

Reef Smart's Grand Cayman guidebook makes it clear in the shore diving intro that many of the shore diving locations in the book are for residents/guests of the resort or condo complex adjacent to the site, and that non-residents/guests need to contact the adjacent dive center (if one exists...
